There is no 'bonnet' (hood) view apparently, but there is a roof cam view which is similar but higher obviously.

Also not sure if it's been mentioned yet but you can choose between three FOV positions in cockpit view,

i just cant fathom how unreal this feels, gran turismo 5....out in 5 days!! people's games getting picked packed and shipped already too :eek:

lol love how you took a picture of your steering wheel in the boot of your car.!! Good choice as well, same wheel I'll be using.

you know, this isn't going to be cancelled this time is it, GT5 is actually being released... 5 more days to go. And the best bit, I'm off work on that day, and on the 4th it'll be my birthday, so gf can shut up and let me play GT5 all day long in the living room with my wheel.. woohoo.

now, what'll really happen is she'll drag me out shopping and take me out for a birthday meal.. so, nice dream I'll have to wait and see.. :p

lol - actually I was in Tesco this afternoon during my lunch break, mum works there and I was asking for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for the PC. they didn't have it, PC games at tesco with staff discount can be cheaper then online. PS3 games aren't normally as good, but anyhow..

Bless her, said she couldn't find Need for Speed, but lots are asking for TT5.. Is that it? No mum, thats GT5 for the PS3.

lol apparently, its showing as first shipments in at Tesco where I am. Mum said that normally means its ready for going on shelves 12 midnight on the day its meant to go on sale.. Makes sense, its only four days when you think about it...
 
The Gamestation store I went to already has it. Guy behind the till was boasting about playing it after closing time!

Surely one of these stores will crack and sell the game early
 
Not sure what to say.... lol Bloody difficult for someone like me to keep control of this thing.

So used to playing with a pad.

Going to take a while before Im good enough to make full use of this wheel lol. Should be fun :)
 
Sony response in regards to GT5 install,

“GT5 gives users the option of an install. This makes loading times throughout much faster but is not a requirement when first playing.

If users choose not to install the data straight away it will do it in stages as news areas, tracks etc are accessed during normal game play.”

So 256mb minimum isn't strictly true then, bit cheeky that but no biggy at the end of the day.

6.4 Gb apparently.

Stick with it, took me a few weeks to get consistant and fairly fast but once you get there it's a lot more fun/rewarding.
 
well thats the ps3 and gt5 ce ordered from the rain forrest :D grabbed the namco demons souls and a "Neet" hdmi cable too hurrah!

So you get a cockpit view in all cars, it's just that it's not an accurate one in "Standard" ones?

Hope so as I'm in the same situation :)

Using my G27 last night was the first time I've had an adrenaline rush and sweated profusely because of a game.

GT with a wheel is a different game altogether and I can't believe I haven't tried a wheel previously. Awesome.
 
No cockpit view for 80% of the cars which are also ported models from previous GT games!!?? reason to buy has just gone out of the window.
 
hmmm the best nordschleife recreation day or night on any system in existance, in a Mines R34 closed all the windows for me, can't wait! :)
