Well gave the game quite a few hours last night, did some of the licenses, played with the arcade mode, GT mode etc and to be perfectly honest the one biggest gripe I had over the game when compared to Forza 3 was the sodding screen tear.
Everything else I can live with. Not to go into mass detail, some areas of the game are much better then Forza 3, some areas not so good… Oh and the standard cars compared to premium look rubbish, but that’s the premium models showing the standard models up. I’d have rather they had 350 odd premium and left the standard models out.
And honestly, I’ve now sold my xbox360 anyhow. It RROD and I got a free replacement from MS and sold it whilst it was still under warranty and working, so I can’t play Forza 3 anymore to compare. GT5 can, and will fill that gap for me that Forza left behind.
Its just the screen tearing that makes me lament Forza 3. Everything else in GT5 is for me good enough.
Yes, I know the game has faults. Still, eventually I’ll put too many hours into it like I did Forza 3, get bored of it and this time next year I doubt I’ll be playing it anymore looking forward to GT6. Or buying another 360 for Forza 4.
360 owners have Forza 3, PS3 owners now finally have GT5. Simple. Or like me, you get any console to play these racing games.. lol
