Student protest today - spec me a sign

Well i've just been told that despite the fact that our school went through some extreme measures to stop the walkout they support the protests and are starting a petition to send off to the government :)

No, I'm not emotional. It wasn't much in the way of a funny joke either?

How could a grown man kicking a small girl ever be a joke?

I don't have a degree, and I am unlikely to ever need one.

What annoys me is blatant ignorance and argument from hatred for the sake of it.

Keep calm mate its not hatred, its mild annoyance. And im 44 just so you know, keep you on the boil and so on :)

That's one hell of a presumption you've just crapped on a bunch of people is it not?

I'm not sure on his wording, but if it is organised with the schools help, I'm pretty sure they do know something about education given it is their proffesion.

I'm not saying you are arguing from hatred yourself personally but perhaps certainly from ignorance, but there is clear evidence of some very nasty vitriolic hate born statements on here.

and its so painfully to be expected.

That's why on the main I've stayed out and watched till now.
 
I don't see what the problem is with all this drama, surely uni is a complete waste of time for the majority of people - they should be going straight into the work place (a different issue). Uni should definitely not be for preparing for general vocations but for research academia and furthering knowledge in a field.

Labour screwed everyone over massively with their turning higher education into a commercial enterprise and convincing everyone that it was required, raiding lots of families savings in the process.

Be thankful students, you are saving yourself lots of wasted time and money!
