Sound ignoring, no action, head buried in sand - it's the SFA way is it not?
he didnt bless himself for any other reason than to get a reaction, you cant have no religion in football just when it suits you and too think whats acceptable in one country or situation is acceptable in another is naive mate. But this issue actually does effect the game surely?
You can't have collusion and lies between officials about any decisions. There needs to be transparency across the board. As I stated previously the SFA should have been decisive before now, and this situation would have died out long ago.
I personally hope it blows over soon and we get back to enjoying the SPL season.
If you want to highlight bigotry - what about the palavar that was made not too long ago with regard to Artur Boruc blessing himself (as foreign players the world over do every time the yenter the pitch)? Now that was tit-for-tat and totally irrelevant to anything affecting the game.
There does seem to be a lot of Celtic bashing on this thread, but the truth is that both sides of the OF have elements of idiots in their fanbase - and unfortunately they always will (imho).

Hugh Dallas offered to call off strike if his case dropped!
By: Phil Mac Giolla Bhain
Exclusive.
Hugh Dallas and Stewart Regan had a blazing row on Monday at the SFA headquarters in Glasgow.
Hugh Dallas offered to call off the referees strike if his disciplinary hearing into the Pope email was called off.
On hearing this ultimatum an SFA insider said:
“Regan went ballistic!”
Regan’s exact words, overheard by many in the office were:
“How ****** dare you! Don’t ever raise that again! Those two matters are totally unrelated!”
Hugh Dallas will hear his fate at 17.00hrs today in Glasgow.
In total eight people will be the subject of disciplinary hearings today.
I have learned that the Scottish Football Association has a very clear IT policy.
The passing on this email is clearly considered by Mr.Regan to be a “breach of the organisation’s IT policy.”
In recent weeks several staff were reminded of this policy of forwarding on offensive emails.
It was established inside the SFA that receiving such an email and opening it was no offence.
However forwarding it on would be considered an offence punishable from anything from a reprimand to dismissal.
I have also learned that if any of the other seven staff are dismissed for passing on this email then Mr.Dallas will also be dismissed.
An e-mail like that would normally get a worker sacked anywhere else in Scotland so I don't see how Dallas can stay in the job.
As for the strike, with the replacement referees I just hope they're prepared for the abuse they're going to get from the fans for being "scabs" or if they get decisions wrong at the likes of Parkhead with the large crowd.

It'd normally get them a written warning and a light spank on the bottom.he didnt bless himself for any other reason than to get a reaction, you cant have no religion in football just when it suits you and too think whats acceptable in one country or situation is acceptable in another is naive mate.
What happens if one of these foreign refs makes a **** up? More letters of complaint to the SFA? Where will it end?
I personally know someone who was sacked for forwarding a joke email. The common factor in both cases is that it was forwarded to people who didn't find it funny...Sacked?It'd normally get them a written warning and a light spank on the bottom.
Foreign players bless themselves all the time!
Incidentally you can bless yourself whenever you want - the fact that it GOT a reaction is the astounding bit.
It's not naive, it's just elements of one half of the OF's support letting themselves down. Don't think that I don't believe that both halves of the OF have their minority of knuckle draggers who would do similar - this isn't a purely 'Rangers bashing' comment.
Just putting into context that this an irrelevance in football terms that got more press, more attention, and more reaction, than collusion and lying between our top flight officials.
Disgracefull really.
Rumour has it Hugh Dallas has been sacked.
" if you tell a lie long enough it becomes the truth" eh?
Nice revision of History there.
Still, don`t let that get in the way of demonising Rangers fans.
he was cautioned by the police for inciting the rangers fans, he was making" come on" gesturesWhere's the lie mate?

to the stands , think you need to do a bit more research on this guy.
i dont think it did , the refs strike and the event leading up to this are now international news .Of course he was because he couldn't be charged for simply blessing himself - there's no law against this.
The point I was trying to make, was that the Boruc issue (which affects nothing with regards to football results/points/trophies), attracted FAR more attention than this refereeing debacle. This referreing issue goes straight to the core of our game in Scotland, and they simply must be whiter than white.
The SFA have allowed this to drag on, and had they simply relieved the referee of his duties, the problem would have been over straight away. The linesman made the decision easy for the SFA and they bottled it.
Those in charge of our game on a weekly basis cannot be proven to lie and fabricate stories, and expect to keep their job - simples.
