***The X-Factor Thread - ALL X-Factor Related Stuff In Here***

This is my take on it..

ITV was going to let Louis not vote, have Danni and Cheryl save Mary, and assume that Simon would save Wagner for the money, as he did with Jedward. Then to fix the cockup a few weeks ago, let Louis have his vote back and go to deadlock. Therefore sending Mary home and keeping Wagner in the competition.

However, Louis fudged this up by kicking out his own act and now ITV are crying because they lost Wagner.

Am I reading too much into this? :D

Do you honestly think that Wagner would have had more votes, I would be god smacked if he had the bloke was a joke as a performer.

But Wagner was entertaining and a vote bringer, Mary was and now still is just a placeholder.

Clearly not a vote bringer as he was in bottom 3 with Mary. Neither would has been bringing in that much anymore (as a percentage).

We are starting to lose the crap that's what happens at this time of the show, we should all being good lose either Mary, cher or the boy band next week.

I wonder how much volume of votes goes down in the later stages. Peoples favourites go out, I would imagine not all start voting for another person.

I have only ever voted once on the X-Factor and that was for Leona in the final, don't think I would vote for anyone again.

i was forced to watch some of this tripe tonight after biebers so called performance i just had to get on youtube and find somw who and led zep before i smashed the tv up. i feel mutch better now
the entire show is so obviously fixed/manipulated and manufactured with the sole intention of making as much ££ as possibly by luring sheep err public into ringing in even the poor buggers doing the singing are being used it makes my skin crawl

sounds about right, but then simon says 'oh its about talent now' and all is right with the world :p:p:p:p:p:p

And that my friend, is (good) business.

All the most successful businesses in the world "use" their employees to make profit for the company (and its investors/owners). There is virtually no business on the face of this planet which doesn't "use" (or attempt to "use") its employees to create a service/product which is then sold off for a higher price than was used to create the said product/service. The net difference is known as profit, which all companies (including ITV/Cowell/XFactor) attempt to maximise.

You should look at the contestants as employees of the show (or the company). After XFactor ends they will go on an XFactor tour, for which (I assume), they will get paid. At the end of it all, the contestants will have the experience and notoriety of working on XFactor and from that point it shall be up to them, on how they take advantage of being on the UKs biggest show.

JLS made the most of their opportunity. They lost (to Burke), but they made the right contacts and are working very hard to achieve success. They have been rewarded by a few No.1s already. They will probably score another No.1 with new single.

Conversely, I'm not sure if anyone remembers them, but Pop Stars: The Rivals, created 2 groups. A girl band, called "Girls Aloud" and a boy band called "One True Voice". The girl band went on to work very hard and were rewarded with much success. Cheryl Cole is a product of this girl group. The male band (who lost to the girl band, in the show, but still released their single, made No.2 in the charts, but) vanished into obscurity. After they had their No.2 single, they could've persevered and worked hard to achieve. Instead, they chose a different path.

wife was watching it in bed its kinda hard not to pick up bits and pieces of it

ps sunama what you say is spot on BUT imho shows like x factor are dishonest/deceiptfull they put an image accross but behind the scenes its just not how it works and that boils my pixx
