Just Race Modded a Corvette ZR1 :D Cost over £300,000 though

Comparing to standard car:

Standard - 638bhp 1508kgs
Race Mod - 694bhp 1100kgs

You can still tune it with the following:

Engine - All upgrades
Intake - All upgrades
Exhaust - Sports Intake Manifold and Sports Catalytic Converter
Turbo - Supercharger
Drivetrain - Racing Clutch, Racing Flywheel, Carbon driveshaft, Fully Customisable LSD.

IIRC i did most if not all of these mods to a standard ZR1 and it kicked out over 800bhp, so it may be worth looking into this if you have a lot of money and are struggling with the GT All stars race. I havent done it yet so i dont know what the competition is like but around 800bhp/tonne is not to be sniffed at!

I've got a mk1 MR2, picked up both the NA and Supercharged from the used car dealership (and the first car I bought was a Mk3 MR2), not really used the mk1's yet though, mk3 I used as stock to win the top left and top right of the beginner series (can't remember what they're called) :)

Thinking going mad with the supercharged mk1 for the mr cup in the amateur series :p

Or I could save myself some time and apply a few choice tweaks to the elise I won and probably do it for a tenth of the cost :p

I got 3 of them now. One I've kept NA, the second is the supercharged one and got another that's got a wee tubby in it. Wouldn't mind a 4th with a V6 transplant but hey ho :D

Went a little mental on power with the S/C one. Need better tyres is all I'm saying :p

Will be interested to know how it handles. The ZR1 is already an absolute beast but I'm worried too much power will upset the balance and make it as slippy as an otters pocket.

Quick question guys, sure it's been asked already but can't see it

So far in the few races I've done I've managed to race against a BMW Z3, a 120i (I think), a '98 M3 and a few more that aren't available to buy. Same just with other cars, loads of cars I'm racing I can't actually buy

Surely you don't unlock all these cars, so are there cars in the game that are AI controlled only?

EDIT - Just seen they have my car in the game, 120d, seriously? lol! I want to unlock my car, is there any way of finding out how to unlock these cars

They will pop up in the used cars section. Basically that will have different stuff added to it after every event you do. It's just a case of keeping an eye out for what car/s you want!

Not the most elegant system sure, but I do quite like the randomness of aquiring stuff :)

Well i just did the 1st race of the GT All Stars in the standard RM Corvette ZR1, it could easily keep up with the other cars however the turning circle was rubbish. Then i realized the Race Modifications dont give you proper racing tyres  Stuck a set of the soft tyres on and supercharged it for good measure :)

Now it kicks out 749bhp and handles rather well, however that was with traction control on as i forgot to turn it off before i hit start race. Still has a low turning circle but its hugely improved with the racing tyres, as long as you brake sensibly there will be no problems. Supercharging also made it hugely faster, i was 2nd by the 1st corner on the Trail Mountain race and had opened up a 4 second lead after 4 laps. Then i crashed :p

Finished 2nd but the car is more than capable of winning those races

I did see a third but thought seeing as I hadn't used the other two it was a bit early to be buying a third, although both are in mica blue whilst my real one is in red (well red-ish, mostly pink now tbh :p)

That was one thing I liked about Forza, can't remember if you could make a mk1.6 but you could definately do the mk1.5, which was quite neat I thought :p

Simple things and all that...

I played it pretty much constantly since friday afternoon until half 12 last night, and yet I still want to play it now, I think I may be slightly addicted...

Oh and a question of my own, Like The Wind, I'm on the Superspeedway track, is it worth buying a NASCAR to do this race and will it be competitive with the likes of the 787B and such?

Nope, already tried it. It gets blown away by everyone, last place. :p

You'll need one anyway for the next event.

Edit: Oh, you've already discovered that. :p

You're too late G. Too late. :(

I was excited too, all like "yeah! This car is purpose built for these tracks I'm gonna prawn these noobs"... what followed was a brutal raping followed by me crying and then running to the shower to wipe away the rape feeling. 500,000 down the pan too, gutted.

Well I've made a 1.5 of sorts by just whacking a turbo on! Shame you can't do crazy transplants (woodsport style ;))

Have you still got one? Mines tucked up in the garage having nightmares about salty roads, roll on spring!

Oh, and PLEASE tell me you got the GT-R. It said upload failed and then vanished into the land of vanished cars. :(

Still got it but it's off the road at the minute, basically a few years I laid it up for 6-months as I was too poor to fix it, that seems to have semi-killed the piston rings so it burnt oil but I never got around to fixing it, then it developed a fairly hefty oil leak so I decided to scrounge my mums 'spare' car (xsara hdi, boring as hell) whilst I decided what to do about the mr2, I'd like to fix it but realistically it'll cost a lot, engine either replaced or rebuilt, suspension 'refresh', needs some new discs/pads as well and there's rust on the arches (shockingly...) so several thousand to put right, I love it but it's not worth that unless I do it properly and keep it for a long time yet (already had it 5 years), so yeah, still got it but either not for much longer or for several more years yet :p
