Will this T-Cut out?

Ooh forgot that, as the OP was illegally parked how will that effect liability for the accident?

DO NOT stop or park:

opposite or within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space

Interesting point that!

My drive is too steep/covered in snow to park on, and the road was full from everyone else parking outside there houses :( The annoying thing is the car had only been there for 20minutes and its a very quiet road.

Please tell me you didnt think it was a good idea to park directly opposite a junction at the bottom of a hill in the snow :(

Really feel for you, as its obvious you liked the car. But todays lesson is all about defensive parking.

Theres a women who parks right opposite the car park where I live and even when it snows still parks there, its a nice down hill slope out of the car park and im suprised her can hasnt been smashed in to really.

His insurance have already accepted liability. I can't believe this place sometimes haha. Have my parked car driven into, and theres still some people who have a go because i parked my car outside my house?

Unfortunate accident, that is quite a gradient looking at the wall as a reference!

No one is having a go, they are asking a question around the rules of the road and liability. No harm in that.

Just a what if scenario rather than having a go. If your dad didn't know the bloke and he was savvy to the rules of the road you could be enjoying a pretty sour xmas.

Fair enough, sorry if im a bit short tonight...not been the best day :p

To be completely honest, i haven't even heard of that rule. And for the amount of time my car was suppose to be parked there, i didn't worry about leaving it there, like i said its a really quiet road, even without snow. Just waiting for my hire car to turn up, pushed for an E90, but after looking outside at the conditions, sort of regret it! lol

u serious?

Defensive parking? Sure park over two spaces in a supermarket car park, but to purposely not park outside UR OWN HOUSE for fear of something happening is madness!

Thats like saying your not gonna park on a street, as it has cars that drive along it and might hit your car!

Gutted its happened, but tbh, if it was my house I wouldn't have parked out front. The danger is obvious.

Hope it all gets sorted quick though mate.
