Odd jobs you need to get done next year...

Moved in to a new build in sept, got the following to do:

Fill in all the 'drying out' cracks
Decorate the rooms & get rid of most of the magnolia!
Wall mount TV
Sort out the back garden - Decking & Turf
Sort out front garden - Tidy up & plant some more shrubs
Sort out the garage - install shelves, better lighting, new tools!

And probabally plenty more jobs to crop up!

Paint all other internal walls (did one in the lounge a few weeks ago)
Put up mirror in lounge
Put up curtain and rail in lounge
Run trunking up from skirting to wall-mounted tv

I booked two weeks of work to decorate the bathroom and kitchen and have a good clean before xmas, i was only three days into my holiday and my boss phoned and asked if could work my holidays.

So now i'll be decorating after xmas. :)

A first at Uni, which is 70%+ but I'm aiming for 85%+ (First year, but I'd like to get into the habit of getting firsts...).
Get fitter, might make a resolution to follow some sort of training plan, we'll see...
Cut the booze.
Be more careful with money.
Visit some new countries (Norway, Israel?, ?, ? ).

I know these aren't really odd jobs, but I'm a student so I don't have to worry about DIY and stuff...

Stop drinking alcohol (assuming you drink). When I stopped drinking I lost about two stone in under six months without even trying (better diet, no exercise).

Out of interest, do you still go to pubs/bars with friends to socialise? If so, what do you drink? Stuff like coke/lemonade still has tons of calories, so any suggestions for an alternative bar water?

Good lord, just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine.

- Three new bedroom sets for three rooms that's been standing empty of three years. This is the easy one.
- Heaps of miscellaneous pieces to buy for the new house. Too many to mention here.
- Supervise the completion of my snooker/bar room.
- Do my back garden, including a pool (I won't be doing that myself). That alone is a year's worth of Saturdays.
- Move country!!
- Get married!!
- Get a new job!!
- Hopefully have a child!!

It's gonna be a big one. I tense up just thinking about it.

a ton of decorating to do next year. the rule in my house though is to buy the wallpaper 1st though, can't stand getting the room ready to be decorated then having to wait weeks while the boss of the house makes her mind up on what wallpaper to buy.

A lot of decorating, kitchen, sitting room and a couple of bedrooms. Im a painter and decorator by trade, but when it comes to doing decorating work round the house, i cba at times and keep putting it off.

New house in two days so i guess my list for next year is at zero until then. My list for these next two days though doesn't bare thinking about :( only goal for me next year though is exercise

Fix my busted Berry DCX which currently suffers from frying eggs

Tbh, I rarely go out at all these days. But when I do I just stick to lemonade. Probably not the best thing for someone trying to lose weight though. Maybe fruit juice instead.

I don't really miss drinking (99% of the time) but there's something bizarre about being in a pub all day only to leave stone cold sober. You can still have a good time but it definitely feels like you're missing out.
