Yes, I use both but prefer Leedroid due to the better camera, phone dialler and ability to put new contacts in groups (the stock contacts app cannot do this...maybe in Gingerbread!).

They're both fast ROMs but LeeDroid support more video formats in the stock player and has better Flash performance. I can watch high res Flash videos smoothly in the browser for example although DeFrost has now gone back to BFS with some new kernel changes so maybe the flash part is different....
 
As the bad folk over at XDA are being as helpful as they always are, has anyone got any idea on this:

A friend of mine uses RCMixHD on his Desire, and it has power controls in the notification area.
So i moved all my data off my SD Card, re-partitioned to a bigger EXT3 partition as per RCMixHDs instructions, flashed, and now i cant sign into any google account of mine, so i cant get any contacts, calendar, on the market, etc; and there's no power options in the notifications area.
Reflashed too, same problems!

Ideas?
 
Reflash the ROM, no idea why it happens but some people have had it happen. Do a full wipe of everything in recovery before flashing the ROM too.

Already wiped and reflashed.
I'll give it one more try and wipe the FAT32 partition on the SD Card too.

Any idea on the power notifications thing?
 
I never used it on rcmixhd rom so never looked into where it's enabled but on DeFrost it's in Settings > CM Settings then the power notification widget section.
 
Dont think ive seen a settings screen like that when ive played.

Hope i can get it working, as a quite like the new version of Sense.
 
Now that they have the camera working, is it time to move from Leedroid to an HD rom? Especially given that we won't see much Leedroid action now he has a Desire HD.

I use the "phone keypad" for writing, and since I flashed to LeeDroid 2.2f it's changed and I don't like it. There are no ? or ! symbols on it, I have to press and hold one of the buttons and scroll across for it which I find annoying.

Is there any way to change the format of this keyboard? I don't know if it's a FroYo thing or a LeeDroid thing, but I am tempted to go back to 2.1 for just this feature! It'd be a shame as I like some other features on 2.2.
 
Well im officially not impressed with RCMixHD.
Nothing but problems, and the guys in the XDA thread for it as as much use as a chocolate fireguard!
Time to look for a new HD ROM.
 
Yeah it uses data2ext so should be much better. If you install the data2sd mod on any ROM you'll see significant performance boosts :p

Which reminds me....I should do it on my next ROM flash but I am still waiting TBH for Gingerbread.

Also it seems LeeDroid might stop Desire ROM dev as he has a DHD now...according to XDA anyway.

I'll be going back to DeFrost anyway, especially once Gingerbread is out.
 
On defrost I had got rid of the unlock bit (drag down) and all i had to do was draw the unlock pattern, how is it i do this on leedroid?

Also can i change the lock pattern so you cant see the circles i could do that in defrost but again cant see how to this time on leedroid!

Probably something stupid >.<

never tried hiding the circles on leedroid so cant be sure tbh
 
I'm using Oxygen 1.0 now (came out tonight), love the non classic version, the notification tray design and bar colours on icons are neat :D

With the N1Table patch for the S-OFF Hboot I have 195MB of memory free as well. This should help smooth out the ROM moreso.

Will post screenshots in screenshot thread later, now to get my apps back!
 
Is there something specific to the HD Roms?
Ive just tried a different one, and now THIS one has the same google accounts error!!!!!!:mad:
