Wikileaks - latest leak

So a man accused of murdering his wife in South Africa was today bailed in this country, one of the reason being his face is now so well known he will not abscond.

Yet man equally as well known on a lesser charge is remanded.
A man who we have no record of entering the country and is 100% a flight risk. He's hardly being raped in jail. It's free accommodation for him - certainly nicer than the sofas he's slept on for the last decade.

Hmm, as Ron Paul mentioned, if you can charge Assange for espionage, then why haven't they charged newspapers for example who have leaked documents themselves before?

I find it pretty disgusting that they are pursuing Assange with such zealousness given how the US government has done far worse things than what Assange has done who has only published documents.

The Americans are just chest beating, they don't like it when they are made to look like fools.

Thing is they do a good job of making them selves look like fools anyway.

who is going to Cumberland gate, Hyde park london protest today ?

11-6

lets go ****** mental, lets go ****** mental. la la la

America is just, if they carry on much further they are going to create more backslash. Like the Iraq thing they are creating more enemies through their own actions, than they would if they just sat back and lie low.

Americas biggest mistake is how they have dealt with this. Their massive arrogance in any matter has reared its ugly head again.

They are like a spoilt child who has just been told no for the first time. Potential presidential candidates and influential figures calling for him to be assassinated. Pressuring everyone to try and screw wikileaks over. Declaring that the law should allow them to do what they want to Julian Assange and if it doesnt, then it should be changed.

They don't seem to realise that the world is a lot smarter than they are. The best hackers probably don't work for the government so its best not to **** off the black hat hackers in the public domain.

America has pushed its luck and its influence too far for too long and now its coming back to bite them. I have honestly given up on caring what is leaked next. I just hope they show the world America's and Everyone else's true colours.

You blatantly underestimate the American intelligence services.

They have made it policy long ago to turn anyone that was better than them to come and work for them and earn a big fat salary and serve their country and wipe the slate clean.

Let us not forget, this wasn't hacking. This was abuse of privileges by somebody from within. After 9/11 restrictions on inter departmental information sharing were relaxed to try and stop 9/11 happening again. Private Manning was a disgruntled employee who had already been reprimanded and demoted for his poor conduct. As an intelligence Analyst in the infantry, he legitimately had access to SIPRNET and abused his access to release the information he had seen.

The reprisals for the attacks have been on Amazon, Credit Card websites, not on US military / diplomatic systems. Because the few people that would arguably be capable of hacking such systems have done so, been caught and most of them recruited. Or hunted down, and the flaws they used tightenned down / closed.

Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer ...

Why target EU sites and not US?

The EU sites probably have less servers handling the sites etc. So are less likely to be able to handle the DDOS and it doesn't really matter to anonymous every minute any of amazons sites are down the US Based company will lose money.
