Bt Fibre to Cabinet

Meh, I download upto 300GB a month without any slowdowns at 35Mb/s+. I'll stick with the cheaper "inferior" product if it will save me hundreds of pounds over the contract term.

If they start shaping usenet, then I will come back and say you were right.

hmm bt infinity only allow 3 connections on usenet download @ 60-70kbps each, so max dl is 200kbps. How are you getting 35mbp++?

That isn't true. The USENET provider sets the connection limit unless BT have started to offer Binary USENET?

This is a speed/distance graph for FTTC (VDSL).

So if you don't get more than 10 Mbps from ADSL2+, there's no point getting FTTC? I thought FTTC was like Cable, where you always get ~90% of the advertised speed at least. :/

That graph's pointless since the line lengths change so much. Rather than the line length being from the exchange, it's from your cabinet.

bt infinity going super speed since yesterday both with p2p+usenet anyone else have this?.. I was getting like 1110KB/s upload speeds. And usenet went crazy at one point was somthing like 16000KB/s for afew secs

Nope , aquiss , they are doing better deals

Nope TitanADSL or Eclipse offer better Fibre packages in comparison to Aquiss and most Fibre providers out there.

I used to work for Zen as a network engineer and can say looking at various Fibre providers that TitanADSL or Eclipse have better deals.

As in more usage for less money? Not always a good thing. I hate the idea of unlimited weekend usage.

<3 Zen.

Well i do agree but as you can see ADSL24, Aquiss also offer unlimited weekend usage!

Indeed, something has got to give. There's no such thing an unlimited BT wholesale product without paying £££. I left ADSL24 ADSL2+ because I experienced regular packet loss during the "unlimited" weekend period.

A BT Infinity cabinet is currently being installed on my street, about 20m straight line distance from my front door. Woop.

I have noticed loads popping up around Northern Ireland recently. Seems NI is getting a major overhall with this fibre network.
