*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I went from a Legend to a Blade to my current Desire. The Legend was good, but terrible for browsing the internet. The Blade was good on the web, but kept slowing down when it was doing anything remotely taxing. The Desire is all the good bits rolled into one device timesed by about 3.

My Desire is an Orange branded black version. I UnrEVOked mine last week, but I totally fumbled my way through (easier than rooting the Blade by a fair way though). Flashing ROMs is as easy as pie, and I'm running the Modaco 2.2 Sense ROM. I like Sense and am not convinced by the various other offerings yet.

Ah nice, same boat then. Is yours a PVT4 40000 NAND version? I'm a little sceptical of just flashing away (oo-er), as I read something about debranding that needed a certain method else you'd end up with a brick. I will look into the Modaco ROM too, as Sense is definitely growing on me (annoyance with contact sync/auto linking aside).

So did you just copy Paul's ROM to root of memory card, rename to update.zip and flash via Clockwork?

Can someone please tell me how the hell I put music on my Desire? Various websites say just to copy it to the root SD folder but it's not obvious to me which one that is! I've tried creating a 'music' folder in the main directory and I put a folder of music in there but still the phone says that it has no music on it?

My ROM has a reboot option but if stock just turn it off and on again. I don't really add music as I use Spotify but I know new pictures put on the card won't show in the Gallery until I've rebooted.

Nope still doesn't work. The music is obviously on the SD card and not the phone itself as the amount of available memory has decreased. This is what I'm seeing when I use the phone as a disc drive.

I had a look and couldn't see any of them except for Maps. Apparently I've already got Maps installed, but I cant see it.#

Anyway, been using 1.0.4 all afternoon and haven't had any crashes or reboots like I was having previously :)

Do I have to flash a recovery or something? I have been rooted since I got the phone not long after it came out...

Cheers
