You can backup saves now at least so you can stick your current save on a usb stick then delete it and start a new game without worrying you've lost all that time on the game if you suddenly decide to go back to it.

Just started doing this, using the Kusabi, 196bhp/800kg with everything else fully upgraded, after about 25-30 laps or so I'm down to a 58.326, reckon there's another ~0.5s to be made from getting the line better/braking for the chicane and maybe a bit more from setup, but 56.1 :eek:

On the braking though I'm using no ABS like usual but the rear brakes just keep locking and being FF I can't control it, I even set the rear brakes in the controller to 0 but they still lock, if I could get rid of that (preferably without using ABS as I like to use the brakes to turn in occasionally) then I think I could gain a fair chunk into T1 and the chicane at the end of the lap...

Damn it, now I'm gonna spend ages searching for those few tenths, I hope they give prize for the top 2-3k people but somehow I doubt it and it will all be in vain :p

I bet you could find a second with a perfect set up. Someone on GT Planet will have one I reckon, subtract another .5 seconds for the perfect lap.

The top guy will probably be using a wheel with a clutch - If its anything like GT5P you could do flat upshifts with a clutch (If you watch your accelerator bar during a gear change it goes red for a split second, you can avoid that with a clutch)

That, roughly, is how you win :p
 
Bah, seems they've 'fixed' your ability to send cars in the latest patch by deleting save data and creating new. Guess it's tied to your account or something now as I just tried it (expanding the garage by cheap means rah) and after creating new data it's still telling me I can't send another car.

Seems they really want to make it as tedious as possible then, what with all the pointless grinding needed to level up and make money. :rolleyes:

And yeah, if you check the lead cars in the leaderboards they're using wheels, in the drift events too.

I'm using a wheel, G25, clutch doesn't work properly though? so can't do flat upshifts afaik

Did a quick search, got some setup idea's, but also seems one train of thought is using the supercharger for torque which I didn't do, so might need to tweak what tuning I did do to use the supercharger as well,

off to try again :p

I was at the start of Lv24 on A-Spec and B-Spec so a mile away from levelling up. Looked at the number of laps in each B Spec race in the remaining Formula GT and Dream Car championships which you can't save midway through - no thanks. Settled with Dream Car A-Spec but was just so bored...

Think I may have hit my limit. Really struggle getting into games like I used to now.

Have the G27 and a modicum of ability but I see 20 lap races and I think .. naaah .. 20 laps ?

Wish I'd put the G27+GT5 package on the bay last week.

Some young kid would have more fun with it on Xmas day than I'm having/going to have with it.

Tend to loon about, disrupting other cars until the last couple of laps when I go for PB but teh shine is going off it for me :(
 
When I'm in the lead of a race I TT it for a bit and then start drifting when I get really bored, hence why most of the cars I enjoy are ridiculously tail happy :p

On the subject of TT, 58.001 and inside the top 1000 \o/ still another 3-5 tenths I reckon I can knock off that if I can sort out a setup that works all the way around :p
