Yeah you are over thinking things - I didnt bother with an aero parts, it will just introduce drag (its not like the GT-R has issues with grip more about turning the bloody thing). Same with regards to suspension and LSDI just cant seem to catch up with #1, and its always the last lap close to the end where i get into second place.
Aerodynamics Downforce: 20
Transmission Max Speed: 211
LSD Initial Torque 5/13
Acceleration Sensitivity 21/45
Braking Sensitivity 12/20
Torque Distribution 35/65
Suspension;
Ride height -20/-20
Spring raare 15.5/10.9
(default rest)
Wheel Alignment;
Camber angle 2.2/1.5
Toe Angle 0.18/-0.10
break balance 6/5
^ probably all wrong, but i played about with several different settings and this was the one that got me the closest..
Deffo get your max speed right down to 180 - that just about maxes out when you have a slipstream down the pit straight - you could go one higher but I wouldnt, the opportunity to go much faster than the 170ish it gives you is very low already...
Id default all the LSD and Suspension settings (except for ride height) just because I really dont have enough knowledge on how it really affects the GTR in GT5. Im one of those people that try the settings I understand how they will affect the car and only then fiddle with the rest (havent had to use any suspension mods yet)
Torque distribution seems fine if you like the rear not to slip too much and again if you are changing that its probably best to leave brake balance alone. Think I used 30:70 or a bit higher..
With regards to the track ensure you have got a great line sorted for the last corner for obvious reasons - what I do is brake in the chicane as I turn into the last corner but nowhere as much as GT5 thinks you should - with the braking for the previous corner (the one as dip into a small tunnel) you should be able to place your car so that you can straight line it into the chicane before braking for the last corner...
Also the 4 corners (first is a left/right then its a right/left) before the middle hairpin as that taken well is pretty much a straight with a lift off for the left/right and then a small amount of brake for the right/left.
Sorry that sounds a bit messy - hopefully you know what corners I mean - doing that and not overdriving the car (braking far too late so you lose traction out of a corner etc) its hard not to be able to pass the Ford GT at the hairpin or down the pit straight on the last lap...
