**I'm on my own at Christmas thread**

How old are you sponge999?. If you don't mind me asking. Used to feel the same years ago when i first left home. Had my first bedsit & was almost suicidal beyond belief thru the loneliness. (Was never one who had confidence with girls at the time). Unlike you I had no internet to turn to. However things may feel now sometimes you just have to weather the storm & let time take it's toll. Not luck m8 just have to get on with life & eventually you will find your way to that partner/family life of your own. Just give life time. The beans on toast I once had for xmas years ago on my own, I'm sharing with you ;)

I was 21 at the time too strangely enough ;) No kidding!!!. Trust me, you will look back at this one day as "remembering the times you felt alone but are not alone anymore". Unfortunately you might have grey hair by then & be plucking them out of your ears :) Have a good life & remember you're not alone in how you feel & god willing it will sooner or later pass.

Try embracing real life instead of sat infront of said objects then? (I'm just assuming you spend a lot of time on here, I could be wrong)

And I'm 35 mate, just to make you feel a bit better hehe. There is a woman in my life, but that's beyond complicated right now - and not in a good way :D

Just keep smiling, things will turn around ;)
 
Kinda hard to keep smiling when I live on a main road and see couples walking past hand in hand laughing and having a good time, and I'm sat here on my computer on my own, in my dressing gown telling all you guys how lonely I am!

Ah life's a funny thing, just when you think you're at your lowest ebb, along comes a public holiday just to rub it in. And then along comes a reason to be elevated again :)
