on roles... I always go wingers for wide men as I seem to score so many from crosses, and forwards I always go poacher, not sure why but it always seems to work for me.

Btw how do you bring your players back down to earth when they become too over confident? especially against weaker sides.

In my game, Pacheco doesn't develop too well. Not Premier League class but good for championship teams. Shelvey is probably good for mid Premier League teams at best.




I won the league without losing a premier league game :p
 
2-0 away win at Man United. Bought Pjanic for 10m. Omnomnomnomnom :D

edit: also bought some Albin guy for 3.5m and he's an absolute beast down the left wing?

Finished second season, unbeaten again. I'll do another update soon. Unbeaten again! Drew too many games for my liking but it's better then losing them. Beat Sheffield United at their place again quite comfortably :D :D

Shipping out lots of players and should get a good amount to build a new squad.
 
Started a game last night as Blackburn, went through the whole of pre-season unbeaten and ended up losing the first game of the season (in dodgy circumstances) to Liverpool. I've just sold Christopher Samba to Man City for 9mil plus 40% of his next sale fee but I'm having trouble finding a replacement (Jones is good but I don't want to thrust him in to the spotlight just yet). I'm looking for a defender sub 5 million, bloody agents making this impossible!
 
De Gea is hilariously good - presumably he never moves?

edit: Gonna try get Joe Lewis / Sergio Asenjo / Rui Patricio me thinks.

Just beat Man U 2-1 with 9 men! :mad::D Lost my first game of the season against Man city in the league cup with a second string team, was a close match and dissapointing to lose, but made up with the win against manunited, the ref went nuts with cards, 3 reds in total in the game. I'm now 11 points clear at the top of the table :cool:

Have been using a new formation for the last 6-7 games and its worked a treat against big teams, 4-3-2-1, 3 in the midfield in a diamond with one dedicated def mid, two wingers high up the pitch supporting the lone striker and then depending on opposition either deploy attacking mentality with slow tempo and short passes, or defensive-counter with quick tempo and direct play, got two away wins against Leverkusen and A.Madrid in europa cup and now against man united.

^ i'm guessing your center three are slightly more forward then mine? what have u set ur other two cm to do?

Just beat liverpool 2-1 at anfield, only arsenal left to beat out of the top four :D and i'll have one over furguson. Lost agbonlahor for a week to an injury as a result, no one else seems to fit in the lone striker role as well as him, perhaps one weakness of the formation aganst squad.

Also anyone have any recommendations for a defensive midfielder? Petrov is the only one I have and his 31 and inconsistent, need someone of better calibre, budget is around 4mil, was looking at Enoh or Bolateli(sp?) as they both seem to have good tackling marking and stamina, but passing ain't great.

The classic last year was Anthony Annan out of Rosenborg who still a bit of a tank... Cant remember the French guy I used last FM to replace him now...
 
Just had a look at Annan, seems really good, the type i'm looking for, Diame of Wigan looks really good as well, but both really at top end of budget doubt i can buy either for 4mil, will need to shift some players probably.

Just buy on the long term payment thing, so offer some of the total value over 48 months... Bit of a cheat but a good way to save your self the problem now... (He used to be free after about 2 more years in the Norway league and want to go to a real league)
