How is gingerbread on the Desire?
I gather there's no official update yet, but what's the community version like? Stable?

yeah oxygen rc3 is brilliant, as mentioned no video yet, and that wont come for a while yet i would imagine, as they need the update to come to the nexus1 first. i guess to decode or some backward programming.. basically to see how it works.

its lightening quick and very stable, i had issues with rc2 in i could not move all my apps to sd card so rc3 was a nice boxing day present for me. will stick with this and look fwd for further updates

Am i reading this incorrectly then

i got rc4 about an hour ago not bothered as yet, i need video im back to Leedroid 2.3 most feature packed, stable and speed balanced rom out there for me

do we need to flash anything else other than rc4?

If you've already done Ovygen's HBOOT update then just flash to RC4. Any issues though and a wipe is needed. I'm doing a full wipe as I need to unpartition my SD card and restore via Titanium.

i have not ever done the oxygen hboot update, is that to do with the tables thing mentioned before?

yeah, you get 337MB of app storage space so no need for Apps2sd any more. RC4 adds removal of cache2SD too which results in faster cache performance as it's much faster doing it via Nand anyway.

ok cool, so not essentially needed then, i only have a handful of apps these days and most now 'move to sd' so i will leave it as it is. im gonna stay on rc3 for now as my misses has pointed out im constantly on my phone and acording to her "restoring apps"
