Got this seasonal flu virus thing

Apparently infection rates have gone up 40% since Christmas.

Feel like death at the moment. Have had the squirts all day, constantly feel like throwing up, got the chills and a high temperature at the same time, whole body aches, and feel dizzy as ****. That's the new year written off :(

Flu sucks.
 
Same here. Bit hacked off because I was fine boxing day morning, so went to work on the late shift, and got sent home 2 hours later! Hit me out of nowhere! So i worked over xmas, and missed out on some mon / tues bank holiday overtime due to being ill! Im all achey, couching, hot and cold etc.

I have to say though, even though night nurse is the most disgusting stuff you will ever taste in your life, it really does work :D

And yeah, new year will be a write off, but think of the cash you will save!
 
I feel for you honestly, had it myself just before Christmas, made a thread but I think people thought I was exaggerating, honestly nearly the worst I'd ever felt, was sweating bricks but at the same time was shivering, felt completely out of it, loads of people have been complaining about it down our way, definitely a worse strain than usual.

My daily ritual was,

15mg Zinc
1000mg Effervescent Vitamin C Tablets
Beechams Flu Plus Caplets
Hot soups with granary bread
Fruit
Lots of fluids, Lemon & Ginger Tea, Camomile Tea etc
And lastly plenty of rest and keep warm.
 
I'm, just out the other side of it today.
Last flipping Wednesday I was like.. ooh I don't feel so good.
Missed Christmas lunch with family
Missed boxing day lunch with family
Haven't touched a single bit of alcohol since last week.
DISASTER
 
I'm on Tami flu at the minute, hit me hard Tuesday but after taking this at 6pm today I'm feeling good can actually move.

Make sure you go to the docs if it doesn't shift.
 
Ended up with sinusitus and nose bleeds coupled with an abscess on my face. Blood in my mucous for 3 weeks now :(
 
Hit me Christmas eve, by boxing day temp of 104f, basically 20 mins sleep then 20 mins coughing for 48hrs, everything hurting, no strength, nothing but a world of pain, day nurse and night nurse but had to be careful about dosage, much better this evening, ruined my chrimbo

Never had flu before, know see why it knocks off so many of the elderly

The next person to ring me at work for one day off with 'flu' will be fired
 
I had it for about a week before Christmas and it was awful. Both my daughters have had it as well, which has been rubbish. My wife has escaped it, incredibly.
 
I had it for a day but then I realised I wasn't a wimp and I smashed the crap out of it with an enormous mallet.
 
I'm getting it now
Sore throat and generally feeling like cakka
I'm gonna get this nitenurse stuff tomorro
Simulatorman knows best ;)
