***SPOILERS AHOY!!***Football 26th-29th Dec 2010

Two penalty decisions cost Arsenal, although they should have put the game away prior to Wigan's equaliser.

Firstly, N'Zogbia was outside the box and (from the replays I saw) wasn't even touched. Then we've got another case of inconsistency with the referees - Nasri's freekick handled in the wall (exactly like Cesc did against Spurs) and only a corner is given.

Unlucky, but ultimately making 8 changes to the team has back-fired on Wenger.

No ultimately, the ref has ****ed us over.

Don't get me wrong - if they'd gotten us I think all Arsenal fans would put their hands up and moan at Wenger.

But there were two huge decisions in Wigan's favour which ultimately caused them to win a penalty that never was, and not concede one which was.

Urgh, same old crap - history always dictates that will get the rub of the green when we're 4-0 up with 10 minutes to go. When it counts....

Fans are chanting Dalglish, but Sky as usual only have the wolves fan mic turned on ..
Anything to protect an English Gentleman!

^
As i said.. they were loud enough to be deafening over a phone, yet completely inaudible on Sky.
Sky have had a huge Anti-Liverpool Agenda ever since we won the CL, they will do anything to keep Roy in this job and see us suffer.

-edit-
Official Site has crashed through traffic, first time i've seen that happen.
Or maybe they pulled to plug? :p

So Liverpool end the year in the bottom half of the table , 3pts above the relegation zone. Wonder what odds I could have got on that at the start of the season.

****ing disgraceful. Hodgson hasn't got a ****ing clue what he's doing; set the team up wrong and other than finally realising Konchesky is **** and bringing Aurelio on, all his changes were more baffling than the initial line-up.

We've been **** more often than not this season but that's got to be the worst performance from a Liverpool side this decade.
No Redknapp deserved it and he's proving his worth again this season... unlike the apparent favourite from the know-it-alls on here :p

4th most expensive squad in the league finished 4th. 4th most expensive squad in the league are currently 5th in the league. Doing wonders :p

Decisions weren't great in the Arsenal game but ultimately a not good enough performance lost us the game.

First 20-25mins Bendtner as a right winger, wasn't bad but Chamakh was woeful, went 1-0 down, didn't look good after first 10 mins.

Bendtner moved to the middle, almost instantly played better with Arshavin/bendtner, both direct players who want to go forward at any opportunity looked great and two goals happen, each scores one and sets the other up.

Second half, Wenger switches Bendtner to the left winger, where he's never looked good and nor should he, Arshavin to the unfamiliar right wing and the woeful Chamakh upfront, and till the 80th minute we were the second best team with no changes being made.

Basically classic Wenger, stupid change for the sake of stupid change, didn't work AT ALL, but didn't change it again till it had cost us.

Yeah we won at Chelsea, it wasn't a bad performance, but we didn't beat 1 or 2 in the league, we beat the worst form team in the country, playing rubbish and we made a LOT of errors doing it. Today those errors cost us, the changes were completely unnecessary and the changes included bringing in the likes of Chamakh who have been useless lately?

Its just laughable, and completely predictable before the game Wenger/Theo "we've beaten Chelsea, now lets have some consistancy" makes a crapload of changes and drops points........ surprising, only to the blind.

The the final piece of genius, chasing the 3 points take off Arshavin, the best player on the pitch, leave on Chamakh, the worst, brilliant.

You can almost be certain that whoever is putting in the best Arsenal performance will be subbed and the worst player will stay on.

But they didn't win the game after a large set of changes, that's how it is at the end of the day. The in-form starting XI would have killed the game off.

The main one I can't understand is putting Squillaci back in for Djourou. JD was immense against Chelsea, but Wenger puts the dumb and dumber partnership of Kos and Squillaci back together - which clearly does not work.

That aside, the refs make it so easy for people to criticise them. Those two decisions tonight were appalling.

What when Man Utd drew yesterday?

I think .... and it pains me to say it.. but Spurs seem like they still have a chance of staying up the top, there is nothing special about Man Utd or Chelsea so far to say Spurs, Man City or Arsenal can't keep the pace.

Liverpool are shocking, I'll be happy to see us (newcastle) stay above them all season

Just watching the Chelsea highlights, does make you wonder when you see such an obvious offside and handball both given in Chelsea's favour, both the wrong decision. Crazy

The standard of football just keeps getting worse this season. Chelsea were awful against Arsenal, Man UTD were poor last night and tonight Liverpool were like an English side playing in the world cup! Speaking of the WC I do wonder if a lot of the players that went are now burnt out.
