how I hate apple products and since all the issues people had at launch that has to be a big fail.

And they completely alienated the biggest potential market for the ipad (artists) by using a capacitive touchscreen that doesn't work with a stylus whereas all the other tablets on the market are resistive...
Every single person I've spoke to says the site preview on search when you mouse over is extremely lame.
As for images it still pops out the results and doesn't take you directly to the image like it use to

Everyone in office staring at me now - laughed out loud after reading that!
Probably a repost but made me laugh:

Doesn't make them fail though does it, there's been too much bandwagon jumping to call it fail unfortunately.
Sad, but trueWhile I hate the iPad and think it is a very pointless piece of hardware, it did sell incredibly well. The amount of people in the world who went out and bought one truly shocked me.

Why though? I'm considering one when the new one is released purely because it does everything that I would need it to do in a small package that my wife, my boy and I can use without issue.
I, and many many others, don't think its pointless and don't understand why people get so emotional about them
Cheer up, mate !
Blimey, if I`d known that it was going to upset you that much, I would never have bought one.

a tool for instant internet browsing
sit on the coffee table looking smooth
The iPad is a fantastic device. It's not supposed to replace a notebook but as a tool for instant internet browsing and email, that can sit on the coffee table looking smooth the rest of the time, it's great. (I know the iPhone does the same thing but the iPad's larger screen makes it easier, alright?)
But so does a netbook? Just without the touch screen. You're forking out a chunk of money for something that a netbook will do better and will be cheaper to boot. As far as I know, apart from the touch screen etc., there isn't one thing you can do on the iPad that you can't on the netbook, but the reverse is very very true.
For something completely reliant on the internet, no webcam? I doubt i'm the only person who actually uses one to talk to people. And no USB ports? I know there's a lot of stuff online these days, but USB ports are pretty damn essential still. Not asking for a whole host of them, but at least 1?
I agree it does everything it says it does, but I just don't get the point in spending more on something that does less. Touchscreen isn't that worth it for me.
That can't do flash.
So, an expensive paperweight then?
That can't do flash.

Whoever wrote that is completely clueless, at least about point 4. The Nexus One did not fail at all. Google never intended to become some kind of handset seller or Telco. It did the job it was intended to do, kick handset manufacturers in their collective ass.
They got the Nexus One hardware out there to push forward what companies were doing with Android in hardware and software. First handset with 1Ghz snapdragon and others are still playing catchup.
Why is the OP acting as an RSS feed? it's literally a copy/paste from the CNN page.
Apple will kill Flash. I don't miss it; most websites I visit don't use Flash and, those that do, I can visit using my my notebook.
If you think it's an expensive paperweight because it can't do Flash then you need to re-adjust your perceptions of the internet in 2011!
