Passat looks very well there.

Whats W8 interior lights?

Cheers Mark, W8 lights are just an upgrade to the front central vanity lights so it illuminates the cars console / dash red at night.

Has it really been that long  I thought I remembered you getting that after I bought my Octavia. Must be my memory playing tricks on me again!

Might actually be 3.5 years, but i've had it ages now :p

Started the year with both of these:

1959 VW 'lowlight' Karmann Ghia, had for years, loved it but couldn't afford this and my other car so I sold it the end of January:

So I ended the year with just the Audi ur quattro Coupe Turbo, love this too! had some work done under the bonnet but it is a bit thirsty at about 18mpg average!:

Finished with this:

Impreza RB5 ~320bhp ;)

I don't "get" the RB5 - it is just a UK Turbo with a few aesthetic changes, right? IIRC, these didn't even have any more power than a standard UK Turbo?

They do look nice though - that spoiler is a huge improvement over the standard UK item.

Unless it is a RB5 WR Sport

Hrm, after a little bit of reading, it seems even this WR version is still only 240bhp?

Why would you buy this over an STI?

They didn't make a UK STI when the RB5 was released. Peak BHP figures don't mean everything, the RB5 seems to get plenty of praise in mag reviews.

There are plenty of special edition's that are only a small improvement on the standard car that still achieve cult status.

106 s2 rallye for one, a mint one will set you back £3k yet its little more than a s1 106 1.6xsi that you can pick up for peanuts.
