A win today in the Derby is a nice little continuation of the decent run Hearts have been on.
Ohh how the result didnt reflect the game at all, hearts should have been 4 or 5 goals to the good with the amount of chances got begging.
If rangers do the job tomowrrow that leaves hearts to within 3 points of celtic, Split in the old firm this season?:p

Conflict of interests for ref Craig Thompson ahead of the Old Firm tie. I understand that it is his company that is doing the plumbing repairs at Ibrox and effectively lining his pockets.

Now, should a man in the employ of Rangers be refereeing the Old Firm game?

I'm not sure that it does or should matter whether his company has been doing work for Rangers and saying he's in the employ of Rangers is overstating the case somewhat I feel - he's done a job for them unless they've got his firm on a retainer? However it would be really nice if it could just be a clean game, won by the better side and with no nasty little afters - I'd really rather enjoy that, then again I'm also realistic enough to know that it rarely happens when the Old Firm are involved.

At least Rangers are using a reputable firm and the tax man will know about this money. Celtic would use "O'leary oddjobman" whose most used phrase while walking away with your copper pipework is "sure I thought it was for the scrap".

Do you have anything to backup your claims? Kinda stupid thing to say given Rangers are currently the subject of legal proceedings for unpaid tax revenue.

That kind of makes you look like a massive idiot there.

Great contribution to the thread

What the hell was McGregor thinking?

Sounded like it was a shocking performance from the whole Rangers team and giving the ball away far too easily. With the two games in hand for them the result was a must-win for Lennon so hopefully will make the league a bit more exciting towards the end of the season.

:D

Let's hope we get the job done tomowrrow.
2 points clear with 2 games in hand anyone? :p

How about four points clear with nearest rivals having two games in hand, which, given todays performance isn't anything to worry about. :)

A splendid win for Celtic, especially considering the amount of players we have out injured. Surprised that Bougherra wasn't sent off but what the hell, it was as easy against 11 today as it would have been against 10. Hail Hail.

Oh, where are McMav and McRod with their excuses for todays defeat? You see lads, I can gloat too. :)

amazing second half.

ledley's ball - priceless.
david weir's face trying to catch samaras - priceless.
samaras wooing potential buyers - hopefully adds a million or two to his price tag (looks like he is leaving).

No complaints.

A rather poor Cletic side looked hungrier in the second half.

Still a long way to go and we will have Jelavic, Edu and Naismaith back very soon.

No surrender. ;)

If Celtic where poor, what where Rangers? Inept? :)

Half of your team look like they may be leaving while Celtic are strengthing problem areas, according to various sports and rumour sites.

That clearly influenced the game. I demand a rematch.

:p

How about striking Mulgrew in the face? The rules say he should walk for that one. The penalty incident was deserving of a booking too, deliberate foul. While we are at it, what about Lafferty and his simulated fall to try and win a penalty?

Oh, the perma-rage. Droch chailliúnaí. :)

the mulgrew incident was handbags material at best, upto the referee's discretion to judge what the offence merited. As for the penalty it was just a simple foul inside the box, samaras still had a bit to do as he wasn't clean in on goal and there was 2 other defenders getting back into the penalty box area..................just because they got the penalty doesn't mean an automatic yellow card for the offender.

Here I am Eddie glad to see you've missed me. Didnt see the game was out and about but heard we were mince apart from about 15 minutes at the start. Hungrier team won. Just like the game at Parkhead. Still long way to go and once we get back to playing regular games without interruption I'm sure our form will improve.
