I'd check insurance on an RS4... I found it really hard to get any where to quote me for one and those that did like Adrian Flux wanted 4+ grand - and I don't usually have too much trouble (was awhile back mind).

ill call them monday,

im 27 with full noclaims and no points etc. I was expecting around 1k but maybe was hoping.

The M3 looks a complete animal, but the RS4 is 4WD and its less common over the BMW. Id need to test drive them.

I want something classy without in your face, the RS4 is just about subtle enough in my eyes.

30k will see a decent RS4 from what i gather, with 25k getting the higher 60k mileage options.

Just because you do low mileage doesnt mean you wont come away from the dealer with a £1000 bill.

I was about 27ish when I tried to get insurance for one (not my car) my DOB is 24th June 1981

- no points, several years no claims. Granted they aren't quite so rare now as they were then.

I officially call BS. Well not neccesarily BS, I just think he's hopelessly neieve and thinks that he can afford to run a car like this as long as he takes out a whacking great loan or increases his mortgage and then doesnt drive it much.

The threads MrLOL linked to just dont tally with the sort of person who has £30k kicking around and the disposable to play with an RS4.

Always the way really - few people can really afford a car like this and those that can don't need to ask OcUK which one to buy.

I think naive rather than BS... I'm probably in a similiar boat, lots of disposable income but not "rich rich" and the realities of running a car like that are more than you first think.

Nah, none of it really sails smooth, the threads and the inconsistencies (cars, age, etc) just don't add up correctly.

It's probably 60% fantacism, 30% naivety and 10% BS.

bloody hell I'd love to Mark, been laid up in bed with the flu for over a week now, not smoked or drunk since New Year Eve! climbing the bloody walls mate!!
