Connect to my PC, go to the phone tab, and select updates. It then just says my phone is up-to-date. i.e. it doesnt list the 4 updates I am seeing on my phone.

I will go into the orange shop tomorrow and see if they can figure it out. Strange, because everything else works fine; I can download apps etc

Sorry I ment remove the apps which require updating then dl them again via pc and zune. Only a temp fix as they should dl normally but at least you'd have the up to date apps.

I could give this a crack, but the apps were pre-installed on my phone and i cant actually see them listed on the app store. So I would be a little aprehensive about removing them tbh.

Right, sorted. Problem was I purchased a 1st gen Zune from USA way back when they were released. My Windows Live email address was obviously using this location data (a US zip code) and was throwing a wobbly when ever I tried to download Orange maps (a UK service)

Solution was I had to do a factory reset (cant change the default Live ID used during setup) and create a new Live ID. Result is I can now download and update all the Orange apps.

Thought I should post this as no doubt there will be others who imported Zunes from the US and had to set them up with US locations because they weren't officially released in the UK.

Comes with the wee pull cord thing on the back of it as it's a tight fit at first but it's loosened up a wee bit now. P4U wanted £20 for a similar one.

A couple of decent games have popped up now. I recommend Bubble Jump, Electric Beans and Quadra. All are free and all have nice gfx and run nice and smoothly.

The Market kinda sucks really I sort of lost patience with WP7 now trying to get rid of mine on the bay and think I will go back to I4, give it a year and better devices and a more rounded system will be there.

What do you want that isn't there?

It is lacking some games (and some are obscenely priced, for example Rocket Riot used to be £3.99, it actually went UP in price to £5 recently!?) but other than that I dunno of anything I want that isn't on there.

Works fine but it's a bit boring tbh.

Also picked up Clinometer recently, just the trial version but not really sure what the full version provides over the trial as all the clino features work. Also Simplecountdown seems pretty good as a basic countdown timer.

Anyone know of any programs that allow you to use the LEDs on the back of the Omnia as a torch? All the Torch apps just light up the screen. :confused:
