Left Handed people in here!

Do left handed people consider themselves abominations, or disabled, or is it just the same to you as having blue or brown eyes, blonde or brunette hair?

you might want to round that off with a safety wink unless you want to come across as a complete ****

i write with my left (can't actually remember the last time i wrote anything) throw distance with my right, precision with my left, scissors with my right, mouse with my left, fork in left etc

quite possibly the best guitarist and footballer in the world were left handed :)

I'm left handed but hold knife and fork r/handed, I also hold cricket bat and golf club right handed which means I can never power the ball fully with my weaker arm muscle

You can ask for left handed cheque books so when the stubs get too thick it doesn't foul your hand.
I have a couple of left handed knives for cutting bread and cheese etc altho these weren't bought as such but the serrations are on the wrong side for right handers and my wife can't use them to slice anything because the blade slides off :p
There are a specialist left handed shop around and the same knives would be quite expensive from there.

look at the picture of the bread knife, the serrations are on the wrong side for a left hander

Alright folks, recently Ive had a couple of situations that wound me up about my cackhanded condition..

Ive now got a role at work which involves filling out paperwork in Ring binders. These buggers are a nightmare for writing on as the rings cause an obstruction.
:D

Can't you flip them up side down? Ring binder would be on the right and you'll be able to write as much as you wish!

Most semi-auto rifles eject the shell to the right*, smack into your face. :(
(I've never had this issue, but I imagine it would be most annoying).

For me:
Writing: Left
Throwing: Right
Scissors: Left
Eating: Fork in Left, Knife in Right
Kicking: Left
Punching: Right
Shooting (Quasar and those arcade games): Left
Mouse: Left (ambidextrous mouse obv), can use Right though (used to prefer to use Right when at work, so I wouldn't get used to having a crappy mouse in my Left hand).
Keyboard when gaming: WASD, I just move the keyboard to the right side of my desk so my right hand can get to WASD.

*From what I've seen in games.

WASD seems wrong left handed, you want more buttons inside your hands if you know what i mean, so I used to use IJKL.

have to use scissors in my right hand, i'm the only lefty in my entire family it made for an interesting growing up lol

A good gaming mouse. I am stuck using the Razer DeathAdder Left-handed edition as it's the only one I could find and ambidextrous ones are just as bad to me as the hot-keys are hard to press with my little finger.

Leftie represent! I also work in IT.... (tin foil hat time!)

With regard to eating, being left handed makes more sense:

'normally', the fork is held in the left hand, and the knife in the right. When eating a meal with just a fork, a leftie will hold it 'normally' in their left hand, whereas a righty will use their right.

THEREFORE, lefthanded people are more experienced fork handlers! BAM

I'm a lefty :D

Although I use my mouse right handed naturally and eat with my Fork in my left hand and Knife in the right hand :p

Its mad tbh.
For power I am right handed, for precision I am left.
Snooker / pool - left
writing - left
throwing - right
tennis - right

Same as me!

Except I use scissors with my right hand which is precision Probably because I had too at school

Am also right handed with handtools although I guess they require power

Right handed and left footed.

Also I use my kinife and fork the wrong way and have my watch on the right.

Special.

But to be fair it makes sense to have your knife in the left because when people just use a fork they have it in the right and same with a spoon. No need to swap for me.

Im right but eat left (knife in left) Dont give it a second thought unless im eating out.

A right hander here, but with two exceptions I can think of.

I right a bike like a lefty, with my left food forward when preparing for tricks, and kick off with it.

And, weirdly, left hand in the bedroom...

.
lol wut ? im 99 percent sure that the way you ride a bike is not related to your handedness

but for the record im left handed at writing , ride left foot forward , kick off with right foot , kick a football with right foot

Lefty! But righty everything else. Scissors, sport (rarely play heh),guitar etc.

Oh and being an overly polite person,i hated it in school when righty's sat next to me! Coz I'd practically have my whole arm off the table next to my body.

I'm the same in the cinema :-\ rather be uncomfortable than someone not be able to see behind me!

I have a little postcard in my room which says

"As the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, only us left-handers are in our right minds"

:D

Left-handed, right-footed, fork in left hand.

But spoon in left hand too so me at posh restaurants = fail.
