Thats a great question, that might even merit a new thread and bring it away from gang crime.

Be interesting to know what would be the most desired country among OCUK users.

Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, a Muslim youth organisation, became the first community leader to speak out in a BBC interview two years ago.

He is not afraid of raising the issue.

"Although there have been some cases of white men being involved in this sexual exploitation of young girls, most of the perpetrators are Muslim.

"There are some Muslims who think that as long as these sex gangs aren't targeting their own sisters and daughters the issue doesn't affect them... but the vast majority of Muslims find these actions abhorrent and disgusting," he said.

He stresses these are not religiously-motivated offences but crimes carried out by men for "their own depraved sexual gratification".

Have you a quote for the Barnardo's claim, as all the one's I have found refer to Street Gangs of varied races.

As for the drug trade supporting Terrorism, that doesn't mean that the dealers are all Muslim, it simply means that Drugs are a primary source of revenue for Terrorist Organisation such as al-Qaeda.

Around 90% of the UK heroin supply comes from Afghanistan, however, it is transported through Russia, Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe and Turkey where it is refined and then shipped via Greece and France into the UK. The predominant traffickers are Russian and Eastern European Mafioso and not Asian Gang-bangers. Cocaine (the predominant drug in the UK) is mainly from Colombia and other central and South American countries and smuggled via Caribbean into Holland and Germany, again by European and Hispanic organised crime gangs and not Asian Gang-bangers. Crack cocaine is reputed to be brought into the country via Jamaica with 1 in 10 Jamaican passengers smuggling it into the UK, again not connected to Asian Gangs.

Are there predominantly Asian drug dealers on the streets of Bradford and other towns where there are large communities of Asian, I would suspect that is true, but are they controlling the supply and organisation of the Drug Trade in the UK, not on your life.

You have a good point however and that is that drug trafficking is predominantly an ethnic and family based endeavour. This is down to the ties that they have and the amount of trust required between them. This is why we see Asian gangs, Russian Gangs, Italian Mafia, Irish family gangs and so on. It is not limited however to any specific ethnicity and is a issue with Crime and not nationality.

Opiates, probably, but I doubt they have anything like the hold on the cocaine market, or on the artificial stuff like E and LSD.

I'm Asian myself, Indian, and live in a part of London which is predominantly asian, I can tell you that asian men are dutty! I'm talking about the older men, usually those from back home etc they can be quite pervy towards girls!

Not being racist or anything but some Asian people do think white girls are easier to get! But nowadays a lot more none white girls are also getting to that status!

We are all awake to that fact that there are criminal gangs but we should not look the other way if there may be a problem with one particular group just because people say or think a race card is being played.

I don't think that all criminal gangs can be dealt with in the same way. If some need more urgent attention than others why would you advocate doing anything but starting there?

Its like any time people mention problems with Asians you immediately try to deflect the attention, be it ' white people do crimes' ' white people have gangs Togo's.

I'm a British Asian, I'd pick Britain (England) any time. I love that I was raised here, but obviously would love to spend some time in the countries mentioned.
