One Million Pigs Buried Alive

You guys do realise that these 'Pigs' have been Genetically Modified with Badger, Gopher and Mole Cells under the 'Cover Story' of Foot and Mouth.

North Korea has been sending these highly trained and dangerous mutants out for a while now, they have been secretly tunnelling through the Earth to reach strategic targets in the Western World ready to attack from beneath where Radar and Satellite Defences cannot see, why do you think all the mysterious Animal deaths and increased seismic activity has been occurring everywhere?

Get to Magick's House as soon as you possibly can if you want to save your bacon!

Yeah it's not very nice to say the least but i'm sure the government would'nt be doing it for a laugh.

At the end of the day they don't give a crap, it's the most effective and efficient way of getting rid of them all. I can't believe for one second the vaccine route is cheaper, absolute tosh..Sky just want a better story.

I hope the Suckers that did this are crushed under the weight of their Gilt. The people responsible should be Shoat in my opinion.

You are comical mate.

the Halal method was most certainly more humane for many years but since the instant death of cattle rods etc along with a much more regulated farming industry Halal is barbaric in contrast even tough it has the best of intentions.

I remember seeing something on TV a while ago about a big Halal slaughterhouse and I'm fairly sure they stunned the animals before killing it.

Old article but at least it's not the Daily Fail :o - http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/sep/14/religion.animalwelfare

Muslim groups and religious leaders are furiously defending their right to kill an animal without stunning it first. But what none has publicised is the fact that virtually all British halal meat is in fact stunned before it is slaughtered.

The article claims that "up to 1 million" pigs have been buried, and it has cost £283m. That means it costs at least £283 to bury a pig.

:edit: Ah, I was not taking the value of the pigs in to account!

It's jouranlism. Journalists are misleading with figures at best.

They'll have taken a high price for a good pig and then assumed all "up to" 1 million pigs were of this quality. And assumed it was 1 million.

They may even have taken a UK pig price.

yeah i don't disagree with you - i dont think it invalidates my opinion though as stunning and slitting the throat is disgusting in my mind anyway.

btw, as your link points out/hints, stunning is not part of the halal method and therefore, technically, meat is not properly halal if the animal is stunned i have just read.

instant death with no stress to the animal is humane after having lived in good conditions.

im certainly not saying that all western farms care about being humane - we know many disobey the law.

EDIT: in my earlier post i said cattle rod not to be confused with cattle prod. a cattle rod is a pressurised rod that is driven into the brain causing instant death. if you have seen no country for old men you know what it is.

Pig-headed journalism if ever there was.

And what did you think I meant Trusty?

Eh? What do you mean? Pretty black and white what you said. Even though i know you did't mean it literally but still it's a very hypocritical comment at the end of the day!

Yeah exactly, anything to make a story juicier!

This is atrocious, pork is the one meat I only get if I can afford free range. Chickens for instance are thick as **** and don't really know what's going on. As others have said pigs are more intelligent than dogs, with intelligence comes more ability to suffer. You wouldn't want your dog to be buried alive.

Do you realise I was hoping for the pigs to be killed and not the people responsible?
