Has anyone tried these? Are they as good as the reviews suggest?

If so I need some AAA and AA batteries - can anyone recommend a charger?

I was looking at this pack, but I'm not sure how good the charger is

They always seem to be touted as the best rechargeable battery going, theres plenty of threads if you do a search

Normal batteries are still best for things such as remote controls. But LSD/eneloop batteries are way better than normal rechargable batteries, and I'd always buy those in preference.

I bought a charger/analyser for batteries, but that's because I like toys. The charger that comes with the batteries will be fine. If you use lots of batteries then you should consider a charger/analyser.

I use them in my Fenix LD20 light. They don't go dim when they're running out, what usually happens if the light just goes straight out. Also they're only 1.2v, apparently lights like mine need 1.5v batteries, or is it 1.3v, it's one of em, so it's probs not as bright as it could be.

Ooooh saves me starting a thread, have these been updated recently?

What about Duracell Supremes you see in shops now, also Energizer RECHARGEABLE AA x4 2450 mah

I would like to replace all batteries used in this house with rechargables, so wondering if Sanyo's are still the best but also the charger, what makes a good charger or do some of the packs come with a charger?

Thanks! :)

I checked and it was the "Maha MH-C9000 "Wizard One" smart battery charger for AA and AAA batteries" that I bought. £50 for a charger is a bit expensive unless you either like the idea of it, or have a really good use for it.

I use eneloop in the two flashes for my camera, they work brilliantly and stay charged for ages when not in use. The come highly recommended :)

I have the Maha C-9000 and it's an excellent charger, better than my Uniross 15 mins hich basically destroyed batteries

I have a thing for buying the best I can damn it.

I'm thinking of the C9000 and some AAA and AA eneloops

Eneloop isn't your only choice. You're looking for low self discharge batteries, there's several competing brands. Don't just look at eneloop.

I'm losing track of how many Uniross Hybrio batteries I own now. They're brilliant. Same tech as Eneloops.

I must confess I've not got many of the hybrio batteries at the moment, but they are superb for things like my (older) camera, and the Logitech Harmony remotes - they last almost as long as non rechargeables in the remotes but with the advantage that they are rechargeable.

If you are buying Eneloops, you need to watch for the new type, I would imagine some of the old type are still around. I would also imagine there are lots and lots of fakes out there. I guess some places in China will brand up cheap battery as an LSD one.

The link to Wiki above also has a link to an independent review showing Energizer as the best AA and Sanyo as the best AAA.

Low Self Discharge batteries are great.

Purchase Sanyo Eneloops or Uniross Hybrios and you will be loving it.

The C9000 is a great charger and analyser and I recommend it.
