That's interesting to know mate thanks for that. When selling it though I got a phone call from the site that bought it and basically they said they would take legal action if I got the account back. Problem is my character name was changed it was transferred off my account also.

All accounts are completely 100% owned by Blizzard, you just 'lease' them. There is absolutely nothing they could ever do.
Its all in the T&C's.
It doesn't matter if it was transferred off your account, Blizzard can see and revert anything with relative ease.
In these circumstances I bounce everyone in the direction of the re-roll guild (if you are horde ofc)

I "knew" and by that I mean used to regularly char to a guy in TBC I got friendly with when levelling. He was never in my guild but he used to join our server kara PUG's we used to run to help new raiders.
Anyhoo he used to level accounts, kit them in Kata gear (which was decent enough start back then) sell the account for a good profit. Then complain to blizz before selling the account again. He was making around $700 an account (thats before minsuing playtime and buying game expenses) and I know he done at least 6. As he geared them in my Kata runs.

I don't see how people can afford to do it lolwell i'm either the biggest idiot in the world, or just plain bored because now that mocks are over I've re-activated and (after some minor hassle with forgotten details - sorted now) i'm back on with an 84 mage.
really, the reason I quit last time was because I hated PvE with a passion, since in order to progress you had to be part of a good guild, and good guilds raided from about 7 till 11 on most nights. That time I enjoy having dinner with family, socialising, etc.
Anyway seeing as frost is imba atm I figured i'd come back and learn to PvP and play a little while before TOR comes out. On Ghostlands atm, and i'm choosing whether to switch to Defias to join you lot in the re-roller guild or to stormscale for lots of PvP.

Blizzard don't seem to understand how Hunter's work..
The latest PTR notes state that Cobra Shot and Steady Shot will now cast faster with haste, but that's always been the case, so they are posting buffs that already exist and nerfing us too hard because of those 'buff's

i thought i was bad, back in the day spending over £100.
£1000 is just insane!
Get yourself across bud. We can offer casual raiding if that's your thing and the pvp is kicking off quite well. There's quite a little core of pvp players coming through so seeing premades in the future would shock me!
On a non recruiment note
I tried DK tanking for the first time last night. Tried it in the comfort of a couple of guild runs and whilst the first run was a car crash with me flailing about not knowing what to do, by the second run I was keeping threat from a party of level 85 dps'ers (as a 83 undergeared tank). Still need to refine my pulls and that but enjoyed it more than I thought. Big decision cones today though do I risk the PUG cesspit as a tank???

Do it mate, to become a good tank you need experience. Who cares if they moan at you. The mistakes you make will make you a better tank.

Would just like to express my thanks to those posting advice in response to my moan about playing arcane mage. I took the time lastnight to read through the elitistjerks Fire Mage advice, respecced, reforged, regemmed, reconfigured my mouse, spent quite a while sorting it all out.
Did a few TB dailies while I waited for a normal random dungeon to get used to the buttons. Jumped into GB normal with a polite and experienced PUG who were sympathetic about my recent respecc (how lucky was that?
). Even with spazzing out on the buttons trying to get to grips with the new layout it wasn't long before my dps was making a complete mockery of my arcane mage days.
By the final boss I was really getting to grips with it. Feeling the love return, thanks guys

Learn from the mistakes Zagi, it will make you a better tank.
I did a lot of heroic pugs, so much so I got the little puppy pug!
Daft thing is I was MT for my old TBC guild raiding BT and Sunwell on my old Pala.
Im just cautious as the thing that made me quit was when I was guildless and the poor community. I'm no shrinking violet and the abuse/whining you get for mistakes tends to just wash over me but its the hassle and being constantly switched on that gets to me
Will probably give it a go and see how it ends up
I make some proper retarded mistakes as a tank. I mean seriously it makes me so so angry, it's normally down to me getting things the wrong way around. On a boss that does two things, one you run to the side, the other you hide and I always get them round the wrong way. Or I mis mark. Many different things. I normally get abuse but I just explain would they rather wait 30 mins for another LFD?
