guys i just bought this from ebay, what are the lucky chance you think this is real?

i've ebay & paypal protection so if is fake or have problem, i likely to get refund.

You'll only know once it comes really, can't do much apart from that. Have you contacted the seller yet asking it's genuine? Mind you it's locked on vodafone, high chance of it being genuine but you never know these days..

yea i know thats the downside..damn vodafone, i'll have to jailbreak unlock and might not able to use the 3g network

Why wouldn't you be able to use 3G? Just unlock it and stick any sim in. Make sure you do some reading on unlocking first though, jailbreaking does not unlock. People usually recommend upgrading the FW without upgrading the baseband as it usually takes a while for the baseband to be cracked.

I think you can but it costs around £90 to get it done... Which may explain why it went for such a low price...

I got done with one of these in December. Hijacked account. Guy sent an empty box and supplied tracking number and its taken nearly a month to get my money back from ebay. I think I only won because I am a powerseller!

Well that works out cheaper, I didn't know that... I think I may have got the £90 figure from handsets locked to orange actually...

I paid more than you as well. The guy was well chatty and sent tracking and everything, then just ignaored me once he sent the dodgy parcel.

Ebays buyer protection came through in the end but it took some fighting.

Hopefully you will be fine.

About 2 months ago this dude (had feedback of 160~) was selling iphone 4's for £330 each. Turns out it was a scam after all and now he/she is no longer a registered. When I asked him before the sale he gave me legit serial numbers so I thought it was all good. Was this close to being scammed myself but conveniently I didnt have money and by the time I did they were all gone. Blessing in disguise.

Anyway from my understanding its that people with over 100~ feedback dont have the money frozen after the sale for a while so they can spend/withdraw the money straigh after the money has be given. This means paypal protection won't work as paypal cant get the funds back.

Sounds too good to be true.... but I guess paypal usually sides with the buyer so worth a shot.

2hours drive from me. the postage were only 2.99...lol
