Also, it sounds like Leicester have singed Yakubu.
Somewhat bizarre given how Everton (by Moyes' own admission) are very light on strikers.
I have no idea what you're trying to say, are these two posts related at all?
Yakubu is a big lazy muppet, though his , errm, weight and a bit of speed if he can be bothered in a lower league might fair well. He's woeful as a premier league striker and offers nothing to Everton, certainly not goals and he's barely ever fit.
Everton I think aren't so much constrained by transfer budget as sticking to a VERY strict wage budget, so to bring in a striker who can play and maybe get goals, they need to ship out players, and Yakubu is probably their most overpaid for what he provides player. Why he hasn't shipped him out ages ago I don't know though.
As for Pienaar, one of the most overrated players in the league. 18 whole games this year, 1 goal, no assists 40 shots, a diver, a bit of a dirty player, meh.
11 goals in total in all competitions, in 4 years at Everton, and thats with his best year being 6 goals, two years with 2 goals and this year just the 1.
Small, not very fast, used to get more assists than he has in the past two years, close to 10 his first couple years, 4 last year, none this year.
What does he bring, workrate, not very fast, not fantastic delivery, not goals, not assists.
You'd do well, if Harry does get him, to pay 1-2 mil for him now than arrange for him to run out his contract and get a higher than usual wage to do so. DO Spurs have a winger whose worse than Pienaar, I don't think so. Ship off the much better Niko to bring in someone worse, on higher wages, to sit on the bench. Hopefully, for your guys sakes, Harry doesn't work his magically club killing charm on your owners.
EDIT:_ Did anyone see the CB in the Leicester/City game, the guy they just signed, seems very impressive. I don't think I've ever seen a CB dominate another team from corners/freekicks as completely as he did. Won everything, great in the air, his headers were almost all good, had a couple cleared off the line, and this is against the lowest conceding side in the league and a very good defence.
Bet he'll be a target in summer for prem league clubs, assuming they don't get promoted, which doesn't seem to likely at the moment.
