January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

The mighty Sheffield Wednesday (season ticket holder), second teams Manchester United / Donny Rovers.

Why does it matter?

Rumours flying around about us signing Radamel Falcao. He has a good scoring record with porto and he's 24 so he's quite young with some decent experience so i would welcome it... Can't see it happening though, wenger said he's only looking for a CB.

Not sure, but it's probably more like £x amount over 2 years at that amount I'm guessing.

Well it could do, they could do with bolstering their strike force and if he doesn't even want to train with the team then I guess they'll have to let him go!

Fulham apparently offered to pay £80k of Ade's wages, but Man City want the full £140k paid if he is to leave on loan.

Also still trying to get SWP too.

Wow I didn't know Fulham could afford anything like £80k, although without a transfer fee it's more feasible. He's not worth 80 or 140 though, he hasn't tried for 3 years

Well they're debt free, aren't they? (Or the owner's going to make that happen)... soooooo they're not burning ridic levels of cash on servicing debt, which probably helps! On top of that, I presume the chairman is pumping some cash in, as they go along, to help cement their place in the league...

Well they've spent a hell of a lot already...and a Prem club debt free?? Doubt it.

Negative. Albeit i'm growing a little inpatient.

Seen a few rumours and articles today linking us to Connor Wickham and Lukuku. Going off Connor Wickhams performance last night i'd absolutely love to take him on board. Some of the players we have been linked with are exactly what we need, exciting young talent who are direct and show no fear.

The only reason we probably can is from not really spending much, and releasing a few players. Our highest paid player is on £50k (Zamora, so recent), then probably £30-35k. I doubt we could afford to pay £80k full time, but for 5 months we probably could.

I'd say he'd be alright for us, he played very well under Hughes..same with SWP.

Still wish we'd hurry up and sign another striker though :p

Stoke probably are debt free, as mentioned above. Technically Fulham are debt free too, it's just Al-Fayed has a personal debt for running the club, so it doesn't really change much.
