edit: The calsonic is not allowed for some reason(:mad:) but any Tom's Supra is.

Cheers, I'll give the SuperGT a go tomorrow. I've not looked into what cars you win as I like the surprise :D:o.

I'll deffo be getting all the Impreza rally cars at some point anyway. Always loved them since I played the first Collin McRae years ago.

Just need to start making some money now, one of the reasons I saved for an FGT.

For me Im trying to pick up every example of the Skyline GT-R (As in the VSpec, VSpecII of each engine type etc). The Skylines have just been the car of choice for me for every GT Ive played and its nice to play the game and kinda go down memory lane. Im also gonna do it for the Nissan Fairlady/Z series too...

Same here! Also as I mentioned above, all the Impreza rally cars and the Cusco racing version.

Don't forget to get the Type-RA and racing modify it, that's good. I painted mine gold with blue wheels. Blitzen Legacy is quite nice too, for a big car. You also need a 22b and every other Impreza because they are the bestest car evar.

Short answer? Yes:D

To boost your xp and money up quickly, get the seasonal races done, and have a look at the special events. The seasonal events really are easy money now they've taken away the restrictions.

Think I'm almost at the end of the road(!) for me for a while now, need to play something else. Trouble is I've been saying that for a few weeks, but I'm to addicted to seeing what crops up in the second hand dealership:p
 
I had a nice D'oh moment yesterday, I bought a Mitsubishi I-Miev for the seasonal event and like I always do is go to change the oil and got a message the oil didn't need to be changed, only then I realized it's an EV :(

But boy how boring is racing that piece of crap, even with weight reduction it was still hitting the limiter at 130kmh or so.

I did like racing a JGTC car, those machines are awesome, good handling and not too fast or too slow, I can see myself buying all the JGTC cars in the online dealership.
 
Whats the best JGTC car out there? I know they have very similar specs so more after what handles best - thinking a Supra probably or doctor a 4WD Skyline? Dont think I own a single one...

I did something stupid too - bought a Golf GTI IV thinking I could enter it RMed - it was my first RM and didnt realise it changed the model name and therefore disqualified itself from the Seasonal :p. Have replaced it with the GTI V instead :)

Ive reached my FGT total but cant buy it yet as I need the cash flow to pick up the JGTC car first - you dont win any do you?

The Nomad diablo in the online dealership is awesome and wins the JGTC event easy without any mods, some favourites tho are the arta NSX,toms castrol supra,Penzoil skyline and the calsonic. the NSX's handle really well tho and are worth picking up

I had same problem earlier, money won from the race is nearly double what the JGTC car is anyway though ;)

Done all the new seasonals this morning then bought a FGT, used that then for the indy 500 :p
 
hmmm has anyone ever had trouble getting past the GT5 Online Terms of use screen on loading up?

3 times now mine has just hung there and not proceeded to go any further. I have had to quit game each time as i cant do anything else.. also tried manually turning the ps3 off and on again... it had been off for a few hours after being on for over 48 hours.

a bit worried.

oh and its making 3 beeps in between doing stuff like quiting game and turning off the system via the controller, everything is just taking a lot longer to do

Guys remember there was a chat room everyone sat in when playing GT5 ? is that still going or can we make one ? so we can talk to each other when online ?

There is the "Prodrive Style", don't know if that's a P1 by another name. I believe the 22b was the one though. Still so sad there's not a Cossy CS400 or Litchfield Type25.

I did the JGTC event in a Castrol Mugen NSX which was 25hp down because I forgot to change the oil and I won easy in that, although I had racing/soft tires and the AI are probably on hard, though I didn't check.
