Everyone can get clothing. Which is the second most stolen item from stores, after? Food. No, everyone can't get shelter. Everyone clearly can't get money to feed themselves. Poverty is all around us, even in the rich cities.

There is no absolute poverty, but there is still some abject poverty at least.

Most of the country will be in fuel poverty soon enough as well.

Like I said, these people arent mugging and shoplifting just so they can feed themselves and their kids like some sort of Robin Hood type hero, they do it so they can buy themselves a new mobile phone or pair of trainers. It isn't poverty.

As much as I disagree with the OP I'm staggered at the amount of posters that want him silenced.

He has his views, oppose them, argue with him, dispute him but lay off with the "Magik" witch hunt and bullying tactics to shut him up or have him banned.

Either ignore his post or rebut it (and there are more than enough posters here eloquent enough to bury his clumsy proposition and make him wish he hadn't of posted it), mob and bullying posts just drops everyone to the same level as the original post.

Sooner or later he'll break forum guidelines and earn himself a ban, until then and disagreeable as it might be, let him post and persuade him he should look at things differently rather than just screaming "racist - you should be banned or the thread closed" at him.

Given the strong personalities around here we'd be doomed if every controversial or opinionated thread was closed.

Having said that, OP, you really need to read more about our history if you think street violence, robbery and knife crime is tied solely to immigrants over the last 50 years. Put your argument in context with some research around it and people will listen (although they may disagree). As it stands your posts on race with no supporting argument are reminiscent of Mosley or worse and it didn't take long for Londoners to suss him out and put their point across at Cable Street.

You do of course have a totally valid point.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

How many people have ever seen some one pull out a knife while you have been outside, or have been a victim of knife crime?

Once while I was at uni I saw loads of people get into a fight and some guy pulled a knife out and was just swinging. It was the first and only time I have ever seen someone with a knife. (very glad it was the only time, and even more glad i was just walking by!)

My parents own a shop and this sort of stuff does worry me, because there is seems to be no chance that the police will catch someone in this situation so nothing can be done

It was hardly off the scale on racism either, apart from the employee comment! He did say you should not discriminate, and stepped back from that position. (obviously - can't tell if that's for right or wrong reasons)
