Ati 11.1a Hotfix coming today

CCC2 has no temp, activity, fan speed or core/mem frequencies for the slave card. Also lacks manual fan speed control, with 10.12a it would allow it for about 10 seconds then go back to auto.
only thing that doesnt work in that lot you mention is the temp on slave, all the rest works for both cards. i dont ever use ccc anyway, its closed in the msconfig startup and i just use AB
i guess sometimes its hit n miss as to their systems stability when installed
im happy, i do want them to change the xfire enabled logo tho ( im fussy like that )

I've tried afterburner and it would only display GPU1 temp and frequencies, couldn't see any options to add the rest although it did have something like GPU2 activity so something was detected.

Even if a 3rd party program displayed them I wouldn't overclock with it as I can't confirm the data to be true with no official software to compare it to.

GPU-Z will force the 2nd card to 100% load after running the sensor tab for a little while, I know this is true because I can hear the fan matching the data displayed and no other program does this.

Perhaps its a problem with my mobo.

Cant work drivers out not much of a change in BFBC2 and Black Ops

nothing new
AMD toid us not to expect a leap in tess performance before the 69xx launch, a thread was started on here about it

To be honest, if you can't notice how they are cheating who bloody cares!

nVidia cheat by buying developers, AMD cheat by using their drivers.

I feel my 6950@70 looks better than the 460 I had before but that is just chance. I also had a few more problems with the nVidia drivers than with the AMD ones (problems in BFBC2 and Supreme Commander).

I don't really see how its cheating really. Its all well and good to throw loads of polygons at something but in some games (avp for instance) it makes barely any bloody difference. If the optomised version looks the same but with less tesellation i don't see the problem really.

+1

It's unfortunate that AMD has to use workarounds for an issue that is the fault of sloppy game designers to begin with not only because it takes up AMD time and resources but also because fanboys will intentionally mislead themselves into thinking it is cheating, despite the obvious fact its user controlled, so they can get some attention on forums.

They could just put a button on the CCC to enable all optimisation so the average joe can play games with the same image quality but higher frame rates, i.e. a better gaming experience without additional financial investment. This button can be labelled "Please fix this games horrible unoptimized coding and effects because the creators are either completely incompetent, corrupt or both".

Nvidia can do the same if they like and the reviewers worth their salt will do more thorough reviews which compare image quality and framerates.

just installed these and so far they are better than the last set that contained the new CCC, last set made my screen shake side to side, but that seems fixed.

Anyone know if there is a new set of application profiles to go with these.

Do you think reviewers will redo their tests with the first official drivers to be created with 6900 support?
If the performance increase is true over so many titles then the give and take between the 6970 and 570 would slip towards the AMD camp and make the original reviews obsolete.
