After this I'm thinking of buying nvidia GPU's!

Has anyone else had a BSOD related to this module? My system is overclocked and has been tested using prime, linpack, and occt for hours on end.

I've got the latest ATI drivers too. I'm running windows 7 32bit. I left my PC on whilst downloading some steam games, and came back about 30 minutes ago to see this nice looking BSOD error on my screen @_0;

Any help please? Cheers

I had a few stability issues with my 5870, had to turn my 920 overclock down to 4Ghz from 4.2 to correct it, maybe try lowering your overclock.

Got my i7 860 running at 4Ghz. I'm not too sure whats causing it. I've primed for 8+ hours, occt for 3, and linpack for 2 hours.

MMM just checked my IMC voltage (set to auto) and it was running at 1.35v!! I think thats too high considering I'm only running 4GB (2x2GB) 1600Mhz RAM. I've set my IMC voltage to 1.27v for now.

Would that be okay? I've heard setting the PCI frequency too high can lead to damaging your hardware. I'm kinda scared of touching the PCI frequency

Putting the PCI-E up a few notches is nothing new, some set it up to 110Mhz. I can't remember the specific problem which required this but it at least sorted out some people's problem.

Are you saying that my system should be 64bit?

I though it was only your main RAM thats effected by what version your using i.e 32/64 bit, not your VRAM.

My current settings are:

Ram timings: 9-9-9-24 @ 1600Mhz

BLCK: 181Mhz
Multi: 22
QPI: 5790Mhz

CPU 4.0Ghz
CPU Voltage: 1.40v
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.80200v
IMC: 1.28525v
PCH 1.06000v
DRAM: 1.65625

If you are only running windows 7 32 bit then windows will only use a maximum of 4Gb of memory which includes your graphics memory. So, if you have 4 Gb of ram and 1Gb on your graphics card then 1Gb of your system memory won't be used. You need windows 7 64 bit operating system to use all of your memory.

OMG! I cannot believe I didn't know!

I wonder If I can get a free upgrade from 32 to 64 then? legally.

do the retail versions of windows not come with both discs and 1 licence, so in essence, will his existing windows licence run on a windows 7 64 bit disc? or are they special keys in the retail boxes?

Yes, the retail versions of windows 7 come with both the 32 and 64 bit discs and one key works on both discs but i think that Phil128 has an oem version and not retail.
