*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Leedroid? Can't be using anything but 2.3 now lol, too many neat touches to ditch!

Also, latest Radio and RIL have definitely improved 3G signal for me, getting 3 bars where I used to get 2 and battery so far looks better.

Khaaan, What is the lastest radio?, getting confused to which one it is now:confused:

Battery life much better, 36 hours and counting, twice what I was getting, happier than I was.

Here are the Radio and RIL files I am using, they're currently the latest and many reports on XDA of improved HSDPA/Battery too.

Radio:
Code:

RIL:
Code:
http://robbiekhan.co.uk/root/android/radioril/32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_RIL.zip

Flash radio first then when it boots back into recovery flash the RIL.

You need to flash the RIL each time you flash a new ROM or update as the stock one is restored during those flashes.

No probs!

I have a sneaking feeling that the Launcher Pro rewrite and Oxygen, when released, will be the most ultimate badass ROM/launcher combination we will ever see and it will be absolutely stonking!

Has anyone SIM unlocked their HTC Desire? I'm going to Canada in a few months and thought it might be easier to get a cheap PAYG SIM for browsing the net while I'm over there than paying Vodafone's stupid overseas data rates.

get a code off ebay for a few quid mate

The RIL file contains updated drivers and setting to work with a specific Radio version.
This means the latest radio`s will work how they should, without any conflicts and certain things not working, like wifi ect.

Oxygen RC7 is out now. Just waiting for my phone to boot back up.

Really want to try this but my Virgin Media connection won't let me connect to Adam's website, or to XDA. After spending 40 minutes on the phone to them this morning they have advised me there is nothing wrong with their network, I just can't access certain websites! Cheers!

I just updated Oxygen to RC7 but when i try to flash this radio it just says there is not enough space left in device so it just reboots back into Oxygen.

Have you got the Oxygen HBOOT table installed? If so you'll have to flash the radio via fastboot rather than recovery. If you look on the first page of the XDA dev Oxygen thread I think it tells you how to do it - sorry can't get onto the XDA dev website so can't link to it for you!

Radio

If your using the Oxygen Hboot you WILL need to flash any radios via fastboot!
Using ADB from either a terminal or command line, enter the below...
Code:

fastboot flash radio radio.img

Remember to extract the radio.img from the .zip before hand!
TIP! = Having the radio.img in the tools folder of the SDK, or wherever your adb program is makes life easy..
