The result is bad enough to make me feel a bit depressed anyway but that's just disgusting. I am seriously disappointed in the (doubtless small) segment of Jambos who chorused that.

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.

Laughable that anyone should attempt to take any sort of moral high ground when it comes to chants from fans at football matches.

The Hearts end singing "you're not ******* anymore" while a man is lying on the ground getting CPR is deserving of comment.

He is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after a heart-attack. Hopefully he will be okay. God bless the poor fella.

Yep, I thought 'die, die, die' was bad enough before they broke out into that one. It seemed to a be only a small minority of the Hearts fans that wheren't singing it. Totally shameful.

There's lots of unpleasant chants sung at football and that's life but even as a Hearts fan I'd have to say this goes above and beyond the call of duty as insensitive and idiotic.

.

To what end though?

This isn`t the forum or thread to debate it and well you know.

This forum isn`t the place to discuss the various merits or demerits of football fan's chants.

It was a big thing that happened at the match so I thought it was worthy of comment. Don't really want to get into an argument about it. Said my piece on it.

That's Saturday's results in and Hearts manage to get a win again so hopefully the Celtic result was just a blip. Remarkably enough Hamilton didn't lose either although from the commentary Killie should have been more than 1 goal ahead.

Hamilton 1-1 Kilmarnock
Hearts 1-0 St Johnstone

Good result for Hamilton there and putting more pressure on Hibs who lost again today against Dundee Utd 3-0. Only two points seperating them now so I don't see Calderwood being in the job much longer even with the board saying they support him. Once the low crowds start like against Rangers they'll soon give him the boot.

Good result for Celtic yesterday and easing up on Aberdeen in the second half so only 4-1 but they looked good for more. Rangers winning 2-1 in an okay match but both will be marred by low turnouts for cup semis. Think it was about 35k for Celtic vs Aberdeen and 25k for Rangers vs Motherwell. Another Old Firm game for this season in March so that looks like six OF games this season.

Midweek games coming up on Tue/Wed being another re-run of important games for the OF as well so will be tough week for them so probably no surprise at the low cup turnouts.

*sigh* Aberdeen down to 10man after 2mins, looks like another thumping on the cards from Celtic.

Aberdeen did pretty well I thought, playing for 89 minutes with 10 men. I know the rules say it's a red for denying a goal-scoring opportunity myself, but it always seems harsh. Celtic are finding a bit of form lately, a few of the new signings seem to be doing a good job. Good atmosphere from the fans the night.

Decent debut from EHD last night. Has nice close control and ball retention.

Lafferty took his goal exceptionally well. Good result on a horrible night of wind and rain.

The boy Black is doing himself no favours. Hooked at half time before probably being sent off in the second half.

He received a yellow for this.

Black looks like he's pulling out there and caught a sore one off Diouf leaving his foot in. Diouf then goes down like he's been shot, he should have seen yellow for that.

Who to side with, a Hearts thug or El-Hadji Diouf? It's a moral maze.

Yay, Hibs have surged up the table to 3rd bottom.

Scottish Cup Quarter Final.

Aberdeen 1-0 Dunfermline
Rangers 2-2 Celtic

Another solid display from Celtic. A few dodgy decisions and Rangers failing to exert any pressure on a ten man team who turned it around and took control of the game. The decision to send off Forster looked very harsh as the only contact involved Naismith going down 'early' and kicking the Celtic keeper in the face as he did so. Samaras was inexpicably hauled up for offside when clearly onside and in a position to run through on goal unhindered. Brown booked for smiling after he scored, priceless. Roll on the replay.

Anyhoo, nice to see Naismith get what he deserved. Just what do they teach at Murray Park given the amount of diving that seems to go on whenever Rangers play.

Was dissapointed with Smiths tactics when Celtic went down to 10 men. Decided to defend the lead which made Celtic look better. Naismith needs to have a look at himself not seen someone fall over so easy since Petrov left you lot. Had to laugh at Brown though scored a good goal then looked like an a**e mind you its what I'd expect of him. Well dont Diouf for not reacting to the clown.

Naismith should have been off long before the penalty claim. A dive in the box early on that went unpunished and a dreadful lunge at Wilson that was also ignored. Ten man Celts played almost 60 minutes against a full strength Rangers team and still had 68% of the possession.

Brown was immense, regardless of McMavs views, and his goal was simply the icing on the cake of a great performance by him. He received plenty of stick from Diouf when Rangers went 2-1 up so well done Brown for not reacting to it. Did he actually say anything to Diouf? It looked as though he simply stood with his arms raised and a huge grin on his face. :D
