I was expecting a thread about exciting ladies with your hands... and being somewhat adept with my fingers, I was ready to share my secret, but no.... :( I am disappoint.
 
Mate, I actually know exactly how you feel.

My gf is also applying for the teaching course and she gets sad about it. I get the whole "just dump me if you want" thing etc.

And mine is 22, not 36. So I think that sums it up. They're all like it.

Get rid, but make sure you tell her why - because she acts like an immature sulky teen wanting attention.

Say it bluntly and quickly then walk away/hang up and leave her to think about what a noob shes been.
