Is it wrong to get excited about an operation?

I'm going into hospital on the first of Feb to have some work done on my hand by a plastic surgeon as I have a brick hard lump/bone that has developed on the back of my hand (a bit like a ganglion but it's not).
Anyway, I can't wait as I love the thought of being sliced open :D

Is this wrong  ;)

Al :D

Anyone else like hospitals

Mmmmmmmmmm ..... nurses .... drool !!!

I've got an operation coming up this year when I get time to book it, and although I'm less than enthusiastic about the idea of getting put under and cut up (never had any surgery at all before) I'm ecstatic at the prospect of not having this ****ing thing on my back getting in the way of my life anymore! (pilonidal cyst)

Yes its wrong and No, I hate them.

Well, they saved my Mum's and Babies life, so I appreciate the job they do but would rather not be around them

The bugger is, I'll be free to leave in about 4 or five hours so I don't even get an overnight stay out of it

I love hospital food :D

I must admit when i had my op, the 5 mins i had before they put me to sleep when they had already give me the morphine was quite interesting :P.

I hate it when you find out the patient that was in before you and has filled out the menu card for the next person has put grapefruit down for breakfast  That grinds my gears I can tell ya

Yes. You are weird.

I just had an operation. First time being knocked out. I do like that tramadol stuff though! Got 28 to take home, although I am really not using them. I can see why they are addictive!

I love that dettolie smell. Reminds me of the soap that my mum used to buy that was clear and the colour of honey. Don't know what it was called but it was just lovely. I think it used to burn your skin though if I remember correctly :p

It's not weird to be excited about something that is going to benefit your health although 'loving the thought of being sliced open' is not the way I'd put it.

I was quite excited before I got my op last year as I knew my leg would be sorted out but also the whole experience was new for me, hopefully I'll never need surgery again though.

I've been in hospital a couple of times over the last few months. The food was good and with regards to the op, I was quite looking forward to it. Not only does it feel like you've had the best sleep but you know you're going to be fixed when you wake up.

Oh god I hope it leaves a big scar ..... chicks dig big scars :D:p
we do?? Lol perhaps if it was something dangerous like they were a soldier and had been shot lol

Isn't that a contradiction? It was clear but the colour of honey :p

I hate the hospital smell, makes me feel sick. I can see how someone might be looking forward to a surgery if its for something they have had to put up with for long time. As for liking hospital food that's just plain weird lol.
The closest I've been to surgery (touch wood) is "nail surgery" for ingrowm toenails that I'd had to put up with for 4 years because every doctor I had gone to see just kept giving me antibiotics that didn't work. I wasn't put under though I had to have 2 injections on each toe with a very fine needle. Painful as hell!
