Banned from drinking red bull at work

As already said speak to HR. unless it’s your contact which I have never heard of he cant tell you not to drink it. I mean he has no right telling you that you cant drink it outside of work. Sounds like one of my old manager and just had a god complex and thinks he can control you like a puppet.

My advice is not to wind him up if you plan to stay or have a career in the company as he is likely to take it out on you anyway he can (well from what im picturing of this manager in my head)

Speak to HR and see what’s they say. They could always have a word with him if you wanted and basically tell him to back off. I remember in my last job a manager thought red bull was a legal high which was also alcoholic lol. So he could just be some miss informed old manager that doesnt have a clue.

Just approach the problem with a clear head. In most cases I wouldnt approach this very well and would just drink red bull to **** him off but thats me.

maybe he likes the taste of red bull ? likes the caffeine ? likes pumping money into their global empire ? who knows , but out of work its his own choice not his bosses
 
Tell him "When I'm outside of work I can drink ******* petrol if I want to; it's got nothing to do with you."

Then crack open a Red Bull and tell him you'll drink it whenever you want to unless he can provide reasonable written reason for its exclusion.
 
telling him not to drink it before work is totally out of order as well.

Theres no way he tell you what to do outside of work time in your own home. Unless that inivolves coming in drunk, but thats specificly written in your contract and common sense.
 
Tell him no, if he doesn't like it raise a complaint about him or go above his head.

nothing they can do to stop you drinking high caffine drinks. especially out of work.

Teke em to the cleaners.

I don't see the relevence.

He could attribute that to a lot of things you do or eat.

If that's what he said I'd ask for clarification again, to make sure, then go speak to your HR department immediately.

i think ultimately he's trying to get at the fact that it can be used as a stimulant.

But the stimulant in that drink is caffeine, for which he can do nothing about.

Do you have a HR department ? speak to them. Or speak to person next up in the chain from the idiot handing out stupid orders. (if there is somebody above him)

Yes exactly.

B vitamins are a stimulant also.

Are they going to stop you doing that one?

Your boss is a knob OP, seek help.
 
Just do less work... then when he comments on it say i havent got the energy to do it without my red bull... Or carry on drinking it anyways and then sue them for being stupid :P


When i was working in poundland you could have redbull under your till... they didnt care they just wanted you too look half alive.
