***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Well that B-Spec stuff i.e. alloiwng your drivers to race and earn xp on their own is due soon.

Gran Turismo Anywhere i think it's called. B-spec from a browser.

Hopefully it's more than that :( Level 29 a-spec with nothing left to do other then endurance races. Only thing keeping me going was the seasonals.

How does that work, you can control the PS3 at home from work?
Or is it pure browser activated and it doesn't require the PS3 to be on?

I'd assumed it would need the PS3 to be on, but perhaps this ties in with cloud-based saves that are coming? Your latest game state will be in the "cloud", and the B-Spec Anywhere feature feeds off that with any progress reflected when you go back to playing on the PS3 itself. That would be pretty cool.

Gran Turismo Anywhere - Host races even when away from home

Remote races can be started from the official website gran-turismo.com, and you can even check the progress and results of the race.

Whilst on the move or away from home, you can check race results, and even set and start new remote races. A whole new way to enjoy "Gran Turismo" is here.

*This feature enables the remote operation of "Gran Turismo 5" from a web browser, and requires "Gran Turismo 5" to be running on the "PlayStation 3" displaying the remote race screen.
*Also, although it is possible to check race progress and results by text, you cannot see the live race images during the race from a web browser.

Hmmm so how good does your B-Spec driver have to be that you can leave them to their own devices? Or perhaps as important what B-Spec races cant be left alone due to the competition?

ps3ud0

Im on level 30 B-spec. From memory the races that needed some input from me were the Nascar championship, Formula GT series and the Historic Racing Car Cup. Most of the others can be done easily.

that's me.

Where's everyone else? You all got social lives or something? I can't think of a better way to spend mah fridays.

edit: it.. it is friday isn't it?

usually better than that :(
Sorry I got all distracted and stuff because my housemate insisted on watching cartoons.

Well I'll keep it open anyway and hope it picks up later.
