The GiffGaff Mobile Network

those aren't great speeds

I know they aren't amazingly fast but O2 is often fairly congested with users. I just need a data sim for GT540, last month my data usuage was about 300mb on the Tesco netwirk, but I was turning off the phone overnight etc to limit usuage, if GiffGaff is truly unlimited them I will be happy with that, if I can get 1megabit connection speeds I will be very happy and I can happily stream radio without checking data limits.
 
O2 contract expired last month and have just moved to giffgaff yesterday. I don't really use my mobile a lot. Sort of just keep it on me incase of emergency's. I actually remember the guy from O2 phoning me to see why my phone hadn't been used in so long (must have been worried I'd died:()

Went for the £5 - 60min - 300 text bundle. I was going to go for the Tesco £10 bundle with the 500 mins but they seem to have droped it down to 250 mins now? To be honest I'm trying to cut back on direct debits at the moment. Just canceled the Sky. Was skinning me over £60 and all I watched was the golf.

I have testing out my Giffgaff connection today on my GT540 using the speedtest app. The best I got was in central Hull when I was on my lunch at about 1.30pm, 1987kbs download and 377kb/s upload, so not too bad, more than fast enough for my needs. I was streaming on Talksport on Tunein Radio app for about 45mins last night, didn't drop the stream, buffer or lag at all.
Does anyone know if O2 prioritise data on their network, would they give O2 customers priority over virtual network partners?

Was nowhere to enter Referer when I just registered and ordered a free sim. Do you enter it when you activate the sim?

I've been with giffgaff for a while. Currently awaiting a replacement SIM, as I lost my phone a couple of weeks ago. They say they've sent me two, but I think I have only received the one to give to a friend. Still awaiting a phone though, so will follow up shortly.

Very happy with the service and prices though.
