I have 2 or 3 toons and highest is like 7 or 8....grinding from the beginning puts me off....but if I can on to pvp from 10 I will give it another go :)

as soon as you hit level 10 on the bottom left of your UI are about 10 icons, there is one for Warfronts. Depending on how many are wanting a match the queue's are usually every 30sec to a few mins,.. one good thing the game does is pick players from across all the servers and not just yours... hence why you see XXXX@Sagespire or XXXX@Cloudborne etc etc

Another good way is to get a group of friends or guildies and just go Rift hunting. I did this in the second Beta with about 20 other people. I went up from lvl 10 to 15 in about 2 hours. :) It reminded me of some older grind based MMOs where there were few quests and you gained XP just by grouping up and go on a rampage. :D

yep, I agree that must be awesome fun but for this last beta I was not guilded and was just trying out many many many different class types.

I only managed to get one of about 10 toon's to level 20 and had no idea of how to venture away from Freemarch !! hopefully someone can shed light on that problem for me :p ...

There's two betas running, the proper closed beta where they are bound by NDA and these 'preview' weekends with which the NDA was lifted a couple of months ago.

As for the game itself, i got bored with the casters just using the same spells over and over due to cast times being too long to be worth it on most.
 
Hi i play rift and was looking for help with a problem.
The problem i have is my game crashing on me so much yet its random sometimes when there is a lot going on sometimes when there is nothing happening.
Warfronts crash me a lot too yet i just cant find out how to fix it tryed everything so far.

Winsock reset
Revert back to 10.9 drivers (they told me to rift gms)
Turned off all crap that dont need on.

If anyone can help i would be very happy

Well when you get early access that is launch so there is no reset. OBVIOUSLY there is a reset after beta.

Have you tried running the game with all graphics settings on minimum and at the lowest resolution? Does it still crash?

After you crash have you checked the Windows event viewer to see if there's any hardware/driver or system errors?

Have a look inside your case, is there anything getting really hot. Maybe GPU or CPU is overheating.

Does the game run strange before it crashes? Any graphical artifacts? Any sounds issues?

Finally, do you play other games and do they crash too?

Yes nothing wrong

No it plays fine then just crashes

I do play black ops on full setting and have no problems runs great

I cant work it out why its crashing my card can handle the game and my system could it be my internet thats not the best ?
Wish there was a fix for me i really want to play this game :(

Although I won't be playing the game at release I did have the same issue with Rift, no internet problems or with any other games very similar spec as well - unsure why.

ok, emailed STEAM to get my money back from RIFT...should be fine as it is pre order...

asked them about head start as well...if they want to keep my money thay have to answer it and say yes, you get head start as well ;D

if not, will get it from TRION
