Dog threw itself at my car

To be fair, if you run over and killed my dog the bumper would be the least of your worries. Like sigma said, maybe it ran away. You sound pretty heartless to me if all you care about is the cost.

Yes cause you would batter somebody with your keyboard for killing their dog which shouldn't have been on the road in the first place. I'm not a pet lover at all - far from it infact. It shouldn't have been there plain and simple.

And yes money to me is far more important with a wedding a few months away thanks.

I suppose it would be wrong of me to consider claiming off them if you knew their identity?

just a tad eh...

maybe reread your OP and consider how it comes across. you just killed what was someones pet and your moaning how it cracked your bumper. nice one...

So if you knew the owner you wouldn't claim off them? Are you mad?

I guess your joking. How you expect me to take the financial hit for this is crazy.

I didn't know motors on here was a dog lovers haven.

It's not a hard equation to work out.

Somebody else's property shouldn't leave a hole in my bank. It's not that hard to understand?

dude you just hit a damn dog?!

they obviously mean nothing to you, but to some they are one of the family.

you think your going to get anywhere going round there and claiming off them over a poxy bumper?! think.

we all make mistakes, but jeez, your attitude towards what you've just done stinks. just drop it.

The OP did absolutely nothing wrong; the dog was not under the control of it's owner, which it should be.

Why should he not claim for something that costs money, when if the dog was under control as it should have been, it would not have occured?

And if it was a stray? Which seems quite likely given the lack of collar?

Yes? And the damn dog hit me? I'm sure someone will be sad to have lost it but they should have looked after it.

Poxy bumper it might be but why should I lose out on £300+?

O, and it's my mistake then is it? Driving carefully within the speed limit, with MOT, TAX and insurance. I think not.

no one knows if the dog was wanted or not. they can travel a far distance in quite short period. the fact it didnt have a collar doesnt really say much either.

i think why people are getting irate is more because of his attitude and total lack of respect towards the situation, not what hes actually done. like i said we all make mistakes.
