Your dream holiday?

What was your reason for choosing voyager over the others?

There were 3 All-Inclusive hotels in the brochure we had, and the Voyager stood out from the others. It had the 'wow' factor, infact Kim couldn't stop saying it when we were there. We've been twice to the Voyager and would go every year if we could afford it.

Another thing as well is make sure you are up to date on your injections. Most are free but the malaria tablets are anything from £15 to £150 per person.

That's not Voyager ;) The Haller Park pics are great and bring back the memories. Giant tortoises, snakes and hundreds of crocodiles

Why do people keep suggesting stuff like this, it's as if they've not bothered to consider what he says in his OP. He's got 2 weeks - New Zealand is 30 hours away and hugely spread out, there is no way you can do justice to it with a 2 week holiday, you'd spend 20-30% of that time travelling or recovering from travelling :(

If it was that easy to do it in 2 weeks a lot more of us would do it :(

Ok then

Op you are out of luck, You can't do a "dream holiday" in two weeks.

Sorry.

You could do most of the good stuff in NZ in 2 weeks if you took out the travel time.

I have no idea what my dream holiday is. Ive been to all other continents and places that Ive wanted to visit except South America (and the Arctic and Antartica) so would like to give that a go in the near future. I know that it would involve a lot of diving, eating, drinking and general lazing about.

Ive not been there, does look rather nice though. Check out Palawan and its surrounding islands in The Philippines. Especially the Calamian islands, I'll be going there in 2 weeks and Im hoping it lives up to the pictures.

I'm actually heading to Manila next Thursday. :D We were planning on going towards Boracay.

See you there? :D

Random, you were in Thailand when I was there too, you following me? :D

Funnily enough Im going to Thailand this Friday for a week (with work unfortunately).

Boracay is great, white sand and not overly developed. Wont be going there this time though.

Have you been to Manila before? Its nothing like Bangkok. Makati is the nicest place to hang out and stay. Greenbelt is a good shopping centre and the Spanish fortress is a good half day out.

Never been to anywhere in the Philipines before. What do you mean it's nothing like Bangkok? I was hoping it was similar tbh... :o

We were going to do a night or two in Manila and then explore elsewhere.

Thai culture and lifestyle is totally different. You cant wonder backstreets, there arent open markets like JJ or night markets and its not as easy going if you know what I mean. Its very westernised due to the American influence but at the same time very unique. I dont recommend staying in Manila for more than a few days. The one thing they have a lot of is malls, and they are huge. Mega mall is at least 3 times the size of Siam World. Best to get out to Boracay and the other provinces. I recommend Palawan, been there before but not to the Calamian islands. Its a really untouched frontier.

log cabin in montana/wyoming by a lake in a forest and unlimted fly fishing

trying to persuade the wife to go to the outer hebrides in the autumn as well, looks lovely and bleak (in a good sore of way) with spectacular wildlife and world class fishing , fancy south uist then driving north over a few days

this is what I want to see when I wake up in the morning on my holiday..this is my dream

For two weeks I would do one of the following:

Sailing in the british virgin islands for 2 weeks, get yourself on a course for a couple of weekends down in portsmouth. Anagada is awesome, have a look at google images.

Maldives for two weeks, scuba and snorkelling - very relaxing but might not be suitable if you want lots to do.
