With China chasing USA and not by much. Increasing its offensive might and dominating world trade - by keeping the strength of its currency down and cheap labour.

USA has stepped up its Pacific drills and 60% of its Nuclear subs are on the Chinese door step. Is north-south Korea just an excuse to up its might in the Pacific?

China increasing its offensive capabilities when it has no reason to do so, with the pressure on resources increasing and population increasing world wide.When will it happen?
 
I don't think it's in anyone's interest for USA and China to have a war of any scale.

I have always wondered though... If a nuclear 'power' was to get involved in a war and it gets to the point that they might lose and be completely conquered by the other side, would they go for the scorched earth scenario and release everything they have as a '**** you' to their opponents? An 'if you can't have it, then no-one can', if you will.

That's the point of nuclear weapons, deterrence.

Chasing the USA in what? Offensive might increasing in what context? Afaik not much has changed in the last number of years.

Every country in the world puts research in to its military, did you know the US has also been increasing its offensive capabilities for many years? The reason to do so is technology and not being a complete push over compared to other countries.

Population has been increasing for centuries, so has pressure on resources which have no tangible facts relating to the resources running out. Where is all this rubbish coming from? Or just bored and trolling ................
 
Won't happen. All of chinas work to become the economic power it is would be undone, if they where at war with the west then who would they sell to?
 
Someone’s imagination is running wild. There is too much to lose and there won’t be another world war.
 
But A-Q will never get to the point of being able to challenge the USA for land, nukes have never been about deterring small time operations from taking a swing.
 
Its Chinas capitalism that is scary. I watched a program about China and the gentlemen went to America was on a Destroyer and explained several facts that were very intriguing!

But they couldn't just nuke places because Al-Qaeda are there. That's like going after a fly with a bazooka. The fallout would pollute the country they were used in and it could spread to others. That would be more likely to cause WWIII than China vs USA.
