What do you guys make of the new lighting setting? Seems to have cut FPS quite a bit when turned on.

Bought the game about an hour or two ago and just getting used to how to play

Enjoying it so far. Haven't played online yet though, can I just randomly join at any time?

I had it installed on earlier versions as a mod. Much prefer it, and I don't notice a drop in framerate.

smooth lighting is an fps killer for me, especially with hi res texture packs

Strange, it's not really an FPS drop I notice, game just feels more chuggy and not fluid.

Same for me, renders it almost unplayable in some places.

New lighting makes no difference at all to performance for me.

I prefer the classic look, more blocky

Trying to sign up to the Linktart server, but it comes up with "Only lowercase letters and numbers allowed". There's an underscore in my MC name
