tbh the barebones you bought was put together for word processing / internet browser usage
Hell, surely?Your PSU has gone to heaven.
To be fair, The barebones used here isn't aimed at gamers, gaming or dedicated graphic users.
It even states in the description and i quote: "Pre-built and ready to accept your hardware the "Primo Motion" is perfect for the home and business user who wants to add their personal taste to their system."
The review even states a warning about using the PSU for dedicated graphics cards. That PSU is up to the job of what it STATES and use of onboard graphics.
lol £140 for a PSU when people are recommending a £50 one is a bit OTT is it not?![]()
The other PSU is rated at 500w and it burnt out in 1 hour, so I don't think 750w is overkill really!
Can anyone tell me if it comes with all the connecting power cables I need? I assume it does.
But the 500W PSU in the build was a crap no-name brand that probably had less than 240 watts (20 amps) of power on the 12v rail (the critical rail in a modern PC) - the other 260 watts would be on the 3v and 5v rails.
Consider the BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W Power Supply @ £42.98 inc VAT. It has 44 amps on the 12v rails which is great for your build. It's also got some good reviews and a very high efficiency. High efficiency = low excess heat = low temps = low noise.
