How can someone do this!!

He shouldnt have ploughed into everyone but they also shouldnt be blocking the roads with no consideration for anyone else. They have hopefully learnt there lesson and he'll probably learn his in court. Lessons learnt all around.
Most people would want to do what he did, they just wouldnt go and actually do it!
 
My problem with this is that he didn't just nudge a few cyclists out the way until they got the message, he floored it and meant it.

Why would the cyclists threaten him? In the video it all seems quite calm and collected leading up to it, no shouting. I can only assume the driver rightfully got angry with the cyclists, they retaliated, driver lost it. I can't see fear being the factor in why he put his foot to the floor and went ahead with it until the end. That's anger and can't really be justify his actions can it?

I cycle, but I'd never ride anything but single file on an open public road.

Unfortunately I doubt it. Acts like that just give credence to the cyclist cause that motorists are psychopathic with an irrational and murderous hatred of them. Which judging by most motorists childish and ignorant opinions of cyclists is completely justified.

Truth is, both camps have complete asshats in them. Neither is going to learn to respect the other specifically because of said asshats in both camps. The asshats will continue to make ignorant uniformed opinions in regard to the other. Asshats will continue to do things that irks the other camp. Asshats will continue to inflict harm on the other camp and their possessions.

Much like anything in life, everything is spoiled by asshats.

NO matter how much i hate cyclists, there is no need for that! The driver should be done for tempted murder in my book!

Like them or don't like them, got to live by the rules of the road! Just because someone is being a nuisance does not mean you turn into a P-nus!
 
Driver should be jailed for his outburst.
Cyclists should be made by law to stop since they aren't protesting, they are just being *****, Not suprising this sort of thing has happened.
They should be thankful it was a golf and wasn't an articulate lorry.

I responding to the 'everyone in motors is a muppet who will justify it' comment by pointing that when you post in the bikers thread, they show just as much of their own biased view by omitting possible elements of the cause, such as the supposedly innocent cyclists attacking other members of the public.

At no point have I said I would do the same, nor that I condone the behaviour, in fact i've even stated the exact opposite in an effort to try and prevent those of us less able to comprehend simple points getting totally the wrong end of the stick but apparently even that isn't quite enough to stop some people developing their own little fantasy version of what i've posted instead.

Under my new rules in the OcUK highway code the swines would all be banned and this poor misunderstood sod wouldnt have had to run them over.
